Abstract

The present invention relates to an alternative drive shaft (1), the half-shafts (3a, 3b) of which can be or are rigidly connected to one another and the transmissions of the movement of the half-shafts (3a, 3b) to a movement of the respective wheel flanges (5a, 5b) of which can be disconnected separately. The present invention also relates to a motor vehicle or a trailer comprising such a drive shaft (1) and methods for adapting existing drive shafts (1) to produce a drive shaft (1) according to the invention.
