Abstract

A convertible furniture includes a furniture part with a frame with end supports and thereto supported a bed and a table part; a wall support attached to a wall or other support; pivoting means, rails and gas springs between the furniture part and the wall support to guide the movement of the furniture part between a table position and a bed position; an openable table lock to secure the furniture part in table position allow movement of the furniture part towards the bed position. The table part include a first edge which is in the table position towards the wall support, and in the bed position is an upper edge of the side of the bed; and a second edge which in the table position is arranged as an outer edge of the table part, and in the bed position arranged as a lower edge of the side of the bed.

Abstract

The invention relates to a convertible furniture (1), which comprises - a furniture part (2) comprising a frame (11) with end supports (12a, 12b) and thereto supported a bed (3) and a table part (4); - a wall support, such as beams or a wall panel (21) attached firmly to a wall or other support; - pivoting means, such as hinges (5a), rails (30) and gas springs (5b) between the furniture part and the wall support (21), arranged to guide the movement of the furniture part between at least a table position and a bed position; - an openable table lock (6) arranged to secure the furniture part in table position,and when opened, allowing movement of the furniture part towards the bed position. The table part (4) comprises at least mainly parallel - a first edge (7) which is in the table position towards the wall support (21) or the wall or other support, and in bed position arranged as an upper edge of the side of the bed (3); and - a second edge (8) which is in the table position arranged as an outer edge of the table part (4), and in bed position arranged as a lower edge of the side of the bed (3).

A first end (9a) of the shaft is connected to the first and/or second locking member (6a, 6b). The shaft extends from there past the first or second bed (3a, 3b) and towards a second edge (8a, 8b) of the table part (4a, 4b). There the second end (9b) of the elongated shaft (6c) is arranged to be manually engaged by a user situated by the second edge (8a, 8b).
