Abstract

The invention relates to a scissors jack comprising support arms (1, 2, 3, 4), two respective support arms of which (1, 3; 2, 4) are articulated to each other, at least two of the ends (1a, 2a, 3a, 4a) of the support arms (1, 2, 3, 4) facing each other having toothed sections (5, 6, 7, 8) that engage with each other. The aim of the invention is to provide a short and compact jack which at the same time is characterized by a large area of contact between the meshing teeth of the toothed section. For this purpose, the toothed sections (5, 6, 7, 8) comprise teeth (9) that extend substantially perpendicular to the main plane (E) of the scissors jack and towards the jack center (M). Said teeth (9) are produced by punching support arm material along the periphery of the ends (1a, 2a, 3a, 4a) and then bending the peripheral sections (9a) remaining after punching. The plane of action of two meshing teeth (9) is merely determined by the thickness of the material of the support arm (1, 2; 3, 4) and the length of action of the teeth (9).

Abstract

The invention relates to a guiding element (10) for accommodating a spindle (11) provided in the area of a jack, particularly a scissors-type jack (1). The guiding element is formed by a one-piece stamped and bent part having through holes (15) that are opposite one another. The outer contour of this stamped and bent part has rounded areas (16) and at least one flattened section (17). A continuous slot (10') extending in the longitudinal direction is provided outside this section (17).
