Abstract

A non-refillable gas cylinder comprises a container housing (100) for the compressed, liquefied or dissolved gas. A dispenser (1) is mounted on the container housing (100). It comprises a rectilinear pipe (9) with an inlet (11) in the container housing (100) and an outlet (13) outside the latter. A generally axisymmetric valve (19) is mounted in the rectilinear pipe (9). Said valve comprises an axially movable control rod (23). An anti-filling mechanism is activatable by moving the control rod (23). It comprises a generally axisymmetric valve unit (27), with a mutually axially spaced sealing portion (36) and engagement portion. The valve unit (27) is disposed in the rectilinear pipe (9) with its sealing portion (36) in the vicinity of the valve (19). A seat surface matching the sealing portion of the valve unit (27) is provided at the inlet (11) of the rectilinear pipe (9). The anti-filling mechanism has an inactive state in which the engagement portion (37) of the valve unit (27) is located between the inlet (11) of the pipe (9) and the valve (19), and an active state in which the sealing portion (36) and the engagement portion are located on either side of the inlet (11), while the valve unit (27) is free to move from a rest position where its sealing portion cooperates with said matching surface of the pipe.
