Abstract

The present invention relates to a rotary heat exchanger for reducing installation space, removing impurities in the case of heat recovery, and preventing exhaust gas from being mixed with air. The rotary heat exchanger according to the present invention comprises of: a housing space respectively introducing a high temperature fluid and a low temperature fluid which is respectively lower than the high temperature fluid and discharges the fluids after heat exchange; a heat exchange disc which is installed inside the housing space which rotates in the direction perpendicular to circumferential surfaces, a fluid flowing direction, at the inflow and exhaust side of high and low temperature fluids which forms at least one heat exchange channel passing through the surfaces of both sides thereof; and a sealing member which defines the heat exchange disc and the housing space into a first area corresponding to the high temperature fluid and a second area corresponding to the low temperature fluid.

Abstract

Disclosed is a thermal energy recovery system which recovers and utilizes thermal energy generated by the operation of an engine, said thermal energy recovery system comprising i) an engine which has an inlet port for introducing inflow fluid and an outlet port for discharging outflow fluid, and which transfers energy to the inflow fluid to change the state of the inflow fluid or convert the energy of the inflow fluid into energy of another form, ii) an inlet pipe which is connected to the inlet port of the engine, and enables the inflow fluid to flow to supply the inflow fluid to the engine, iii) an inflow fluid accelerator which is connected to the inlet pipe to increase the transfer speed of the inflow fluid being introduced into the engine, iv) an outlet pipe which is connected to the outlet port of the engine, and enables the outflow fluid to flow, the state of which is changed in the engine, to the outside of the engine, v) a heat exchanger which is mounted on the outlet pipe, and which enables an actuating fluid to flow to recover thermal energy from the outflow fluid, and vi) a recovery pipe which interconnects the heat exchanger and the inflow fluid accelerator, and supplies the actuating fluid, the state of which is changed by the thermal energy acquired from the outflow fluid, to the inflow fluid accelerator.

Abstract

A turbocharger that can enhance output by increasing an intake amount of air is provided. The turbocharger includes a turbine having a turbine wheel rotating by exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine, a driving shaft rotatably connected to the turbine wheel, a compressor connected to the driving shaft and having a compressor wheel rotating by rotational force of the turbine wheel, an air charger that is connected to the compressor to amplify air introduced into the compressor, and a gas supply tube having a first end connected to the air charger and a second end that is installed near a turbine inlet or a turbine outlet to supply the exhaust gases to the air charger. The air charger is formed in a tube shape and includes a convex portion protruding toward a central axis of the air charger and an amplification portion having a passage communicating the gas supply tube with an inside of the convex portion.
