An electronically controlled dielectric Huygens resonator spatial light modulator is provided. The modulator includes a substrate, a first layer positioned on said substrate, which is transparent at a wavelength, and a second layer that is transparent at the said wavelength; a first semiconductor layer including a charge carrier and a second semiconductor layer including a charge carrier between the first layer and the second layer; and a semiconductor intermediate layer positioned between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer. Disclosed is a method for producing phthalocyanine-graphene hybrid materials which are covalently bonded by one step and one-pot electrochemical method. The method allows production in one step and does not require a purification procedure. The method includes the process steps of preparing an electrolyte solution having a phthalocyanine compound desired to be obtained simultaneously on a surface of the graphite working electrode, immersing the graphite working electrode into the electrolyte solution, performing a positive potential scanning on the graphite working electrode, converting the graphite working electrode into graphene oxide, converting the graphene oxide into the graphene, bonding the phthalocyanine compound to the graphene covalently in a potential working range scanned simultaneously and enhancing the bonding during the ongoing cycles, obtaining the covalently bonded phthalocyanine-graphene hybrid material obtained based on the applied potential range on the electrode surface, or depositing in solution in powder form.

Clean version of the Abstract A production method of ready injection material aims at developing natural hydraulic lime at nano-size by using a single raw material. The production method includes: selecting marl, comprising at least 70% CaCO3, as the raw material, grinding the marl to have particle size lower than 400 lam, calcining the marl at a temperature between 1000-1200° C., re-grinding the marl after the calcination process, reducing a d90 particle size of calcined marl to between 200-700 nm after the grinding process, applying a dry mixing process to the material having a reduced particle size, adding water to the material after dry mixing and applying mechanical mixing process during duration between 3-6 minutes at a revolution between 800-1000 rpm, adding super-fluidizing chemical additive to the obtained material, and mixing the material for duration between 3-6 minutes by using ultrasonic homogenizer and mechanic mixing.

Abstract

A method for producing xenogeneic bone graft, which is a material for use in bone tissue therapy, is provided. The method includes the steps of isolating the cancellous bones from cartilage and cortical bone by fragmenting them into pieces, washing the bone fragments with purified water to partially remove the organic phases and boiling them with purified water, contacting the bone fragments with a solvent for further removal/isolation of the organic phase, washing the bone fragments to remove the solvents used and other possible residues, subjecting them to a hydrothermal and/or solvothermal treatment with a solvent at a pressure of more than 1 atm and a temperature in the range of 100° C. to 300° C., after which washing them with purified water, and drying the cancellous bone fragments, for example, at a temperature in the range of 50° C. to 100° C. to dehydrate them.

The invention relates to a method for producing phthalocyanine-graphene hybrid materials which are covalently bonded by one step and one-pot electrochemical method, wherein the method allows production in one step and does not require a purification procedure. A method for producing phthalocyanine-graphene hybrid materials which are covalently bonded is described, wherein the method comprises the process steps of preparing an electrolyte solution comprising a phthalocyanine compound desired to be obtained simultaneously on a surface of the graphite working electrode, immersing the graphite working electrode into the electrolyte solution, performing a positive potential scanning on the graphite working electrode at a certain scan rate and recording the current, converting the graphite working electrode into graphene oxide by an oxidation reaction occurred in anodic zone, converting the graphene oxide into the graphene by a reduction reaction in the cathodic zone occurring with a negative potential scanning, bonding the phthalocyanine compound to the graphene covalently in a potential working range scanned simultaneously and enhancing the bonding during the ongoing cycles, obtaining the covalently bonded phthalocyanine-graphene hybrid material obtained based on the applied potential range on the electrode surface, or depositing in solution in powder form.

Abstract

This invention relates to the production of geopolymer binders by using the blast furnace slag generated during iron and steel production and the aggregate washing sludge generated as a result of washing the crushed sand (stone dust) obtained as the final product from the aggregate quarries. With this invention, geopolymer binders that do not require processes such as thermal curing, water curing, steam curing and showing high compressive strength can be produced. With the invention, it is possible to use the aggregate washing sludge, which is stored in waste sites and poses a significant environmental problem, as a geopolymer binder material and to reduce the environmental and economic problems it causes. A geopolymer binder in the form of paste obtained by the said method is also disclosed. In addition, the geopolymer binder obtained according to the invention can be used in the production of screed, mortar, concrete and precast concrete by mixing with fine and/or coarse aggregates.

Abstract

This invention relates to the production of geopolymer concrete using blast furnace and basic oxygen furnace slags generated during iron and steel production. With this invention, geopolymer concretes that do not require processes such as thermal curing, water curing, steam curing and showing high compressive strength can be produced. Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of indium (III) phthalocyanine compound in photodynamic therapy for the treatment of cervical cancer. 1,8(1 1 ), 15(18), 22(25)- tetra-(3,5-di-tert-butylphenoxy) indium (III) phthalocyanine compound (335ln(lll) Pc) is applied in photodynamic therapy for the treatment of cervical cancer, and the singlet oxygen quantum yield thereof is quite high (49%). In the present invention, 335ln(lll)Pc compound was applied to HeLa cells originating from human cervical carcinoma, and it has been indicated that the cell viability is decreased depending on the dose as a result of the proliferation rate analysis and that 100 pM of product concentration cause the survival of 47,45% of the cells, in other words, the death of 52,55% of the cells. It was determined that different concentrations are both showed antiproliferative effects on cells and lead to cell death through various mechanisms by means of cell index parameter evaluated. It has been indicated that the cells undergo mitosis division is decreased significantly depending on time by means of the mitosis index parameter. As such, it has been found that it leads to the death of cancer cells by means of using various mechanisms in different concentrations.

Abstract

The present invention is based on a "Quantitative Phase Imaging" system which uses acoustic pressure waves and which has capability to measure the nano-mechanical disturbances formed on the cell. By means of the obtained images, cell hardness can be measured and the pato-physiologic features of the cancer cells shall be characterized. By means of this method where mechanical interaction is not directly used, it is aimed to display the characteristic vibration rings formed by the acoustic vibration rings on the cancer sample.

The invention is related to the production of geopolymer binders using slags generated by blast furnaces and basic oxygen furnaces during iron and steel production. With the invention, geopolymer binders which do not require processes such as thermal curing, water curing or steam curing, and which show high compressive strength can be produced.
