Abstract

A motor vehicle lock includes a lock latch, at least one pawl, an electric drive arrangement, and a drive controller. The drive controller controls the drive arrangement to carry out an opening movement that adjusts an adjusting arrangement of the lock from a starting position to a raising position of the adjusting arrangement, in which the adjusting arrangement raises the pawl. A clutch arrangement is arranged between an actuating lever and the pawl, wherein, in an intermediate position, the adjusting arrangement shifts, in the opening movement, the clutch arrangement out of the disengaging state into the engaging state, before the adjusting arrangement raises the pawl when the raising position is reached. In an unlocking routine, the controller controls the drive arrangement to start the opening movement, and, responsive to an intermediate position criterion representative being met, modifies the control such that the adjusting arrangement does not reach the raising position.

Abstract

A latch for use in a vehicle including a catch, a pawl, a motor including a motor shaft, and drivetrain including, a first gear and a pawl lifter. The first gear is configured to rotate about a first axis as the motor shaft rotates when the drivetrain is in the operating state and defining an aperture configured to receive an opening tool and translate along the first axis from a first position to a second position to change the drivetrain from the operating state to the service state, when the opening tool is inserted into the aperture. When the first gear is in the second position, the first gear is configured to pivot the pawl lifter to move the pawl from the pawl closed position of the pawl open position.

Abstract

A motor vehicle lock, including a detent mechanism with a catch and a pawl. The motor vehicle lock may include a drivetrain arrangement with a drive element that may move in a predefined drive direction. During a cinching sequence, the drive element moves in the predefined drive direction, so that the drivetrain arrangement engages and drives the catch in a closing direction to a primary closed position. During a release sequence, the drive element may move in the predefined drive direction, so that the drivetrain arrangement engages and drives the pawl in a release direction to a release state. During the release sequence, the drive element moves in the predefined drive direction, so that the drivetrain arrangement moves to a clearance state, such that the pawl is in a release state and the catch may pivot to an open position drivetrain.

Abstract

A motor vehicle lock including a detent mechanism with a catch and a pawl arrangement. The catch may be pivoted between an open position, a primary closed position and a secondary closed position, which secondary closed position is situated between the open position and the primary closed position. The pawl arrangement, in a blocking state, blocks the catch in the primary closed position and in the secondary closed position, and may be moved into a release state to release the catch. The pawl arrangement comprises a primary pawl, in the blocking state, in blocking engagement with the catch, and a secondary pawl in blocking engagement with the primary pawl. The blocking state, the secondary pawl may be lifted to release the primary pawl, such that the primary pawl may be lifted to release the catch. The motor vehicle lock comprises an actuation lever, that may lift the secondary pawl.
