Abstract

The multi-suspended gate cathode structure comprises: a cathode used for emitting an electron beam; an emission suppression gate located at a side of an emitting surface of the cathode; a first suspended gate located at a side of the emission suppression gate that faces away from a cathode body, a first suspended gate cathode being provided at an edge of the first suspended gate, a first suspended gate anode being disposed at an interval from and opposite to the first suspended gate cathode, and the first suspended gate anode being connected to an external first bias power source; and a second suspended gate located at a side of the first suspended gate that faces away from the emission suppression gate, a second suspended gate cathode being provided at the edge of the second suspended gate, a second suspended gate anode being disposed at an interval from and opposite to the second suspended gate cathode, and the second suspended gate anode being connected to an external second bias power source.

Abstract

Disclosed is a microwave electron gun capable of generating high-average current electron beams, wherein the electron gun can be applied to an electron accelerator for irradiation. The electron gun comprises: an electron gun chamber, wherein a plurality of electron beam holes (201) are provided at an exit end of the electron gun chamber; and a suspended gate cathode structure (10) assembly, which is provided in the electron gun chamber, and comprises a plurality of suspended gate cathode structures (10), wherein the plurality of suspended gate negative electrode structures (10) are distributed in a pre-set pattern and shape to form a cathode face, and the plurality of electron beam holes (201) correspond to the plurality of suspended gate cathode structures (10) on a one-to-one basis, such that an electron beam (40) generated by each of the suspended gate cathode structures (10) is emitted from a corresponding electron beam hole (201).

Abstract
