Abstract

Phalaenopsis orchid, provided with a hole into its stem, wherein the hole is accessible via an opening in an outer surface of the stem, wherein the hole allows the interior of the stem to be exposed to a substance entering the plant via the opening so that the substance can enter the interior of the stem, wherein the hole has a dimension in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the stem which is larger than a maximum dimension of the opening providing access to the hole in the direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the stem, and wherein the diameter of the opening is above 2 mm, wherein in the longitudinal direction of the stem of the plant, the hole extends in a direction away from the roots of the plant and also in a direction towards the roots of the plant.

Abstract

This invention relates to a bolt action system comprising: - a receiver having a receiver bore extending therethrough, said receiver bore defining a bore axis; a bolt moveably supported in the receiver bore to slide along the bore axis between a loading position and a firing position, said bolt having a bolt axis parallel to the bore axis; and a bolt handle connected to the bolt, wherein the bolt is further moveably supported in the receiver bore to rotate about the bore axis between an open position, in which the bolt is free to move along the bore axis between the loading position and the firing position, and a closed position, in which a position of the bolt along the bore axis is locked relative to the receiver when the bolt is in the firing position, wherein the bolt handle is pivotably connected to the bolt to pivot about a pivot axis between a normal position and a retracted position, wherein preferably the pivot axis is perpendicular to the bolt axis, and wherein the bolt handle is configured to directly or indirectly engage with the receiver at an engaging location, such that when the bolt is in the firing position seen along the bore axis and in the open position relative to the bore axis, moving the bolt handle from the normal position to the retracted position results in direct or indirect engagement between the bolt and the receiver and movement of the bolt from the firing position towards the loading position.

Abstract

This invention relates to a method for introducing a substance (SU) into a plant (P), in particular a pot plant, comprising the following steps: • - forming a hole (H) into a stem (S) of the plant (P) to get access to a transportation system of the plant (P); • - filling the hole (H) with a substance absorbing material (SAM); and • - allowing the substance absorbing material (SAM) to absorb substance (SU) and to subsequently deliver the substance (SU) from the substance absorbing material (SAM) to the transportation system of the plant (P).

This invention relates to a method for introducing a substance (SU) into a plant (P), in particular a pot plant, comprising the following steps: • - forming a hole into a stem (S) of the plant (P) to get access to a transportation system of the plant (P); • - arranging a container (CO) around the stem (S) of the plant (P), such that substances (SU) held by the container (CO) are able to enter the transportation system of the plant (P) through the hole in the stem; and • - filling the container (CO) with the substance (SU). The invention further relates to a container for introducing a substance (SU) into a plant.

Abstract

This invention relates to a method for introducing a substance into a plant (P), said method comprising the following steps: • - forming a final hole into a stem (S) of the plant (P), wherein the final hole is accessible via an opening (OP) in an outer surface (OS) of the stem (S), and wherein the final hole has a dimension in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis (LA) of the stem (S) which is larger than a maximum dimension of the opening (OP) in said direction parallel to the longitudinal axis (LA) of the stem (S) • - subjecting the interior of the final hole to the substance by introducing the substance through the opening (OP). The invention further relates to a plant (P) obtained with such a final hole.
