Abstract

A two-stage helical planetary speed reducer (1) comprising a steel ball (26) attached at a center portion of an input side end surface (24b) of a rotation output member (24a) which constitutes a main body of a rear stage planetary carrier (24) of a rear stage helical planetary speed reducing mechanism (20). The position of the steel ball (26) in a center axial direction (1a) may be adjusted by a positioning screw (27) which is screwed in from the side of an output side end surface (24e) of the rotation output member (24a). The use of the positioning screw (27) and the steel ball (26) allows an inner wheel (17a) of an input side bearing (17) to be drawn toward the input side, thereby eliminating clattering of the input side bearing in an axial direction. Since clattering of sun gears (11, 21) in their axial direction can be prevented, occurrence of backlash can be constrained, and an adverse effect of damaging a bearing of a motor output axis coupled to an input axis (15) due to a thrust force can also be prevented.

Abstract

In the switch mechanism (6) of a switch-type rotary driving device (1), a first connection sleeve (61) rotating always integrally with the hollow rotor (3) of a motor is connected with a second connection sleeve (62) rotating always integrally with a planetary carrier (53) of a planetary gear deceleration mechanism (5) through a bearing (63) in a relatively rotatable manner, and a sun gear (51) is formed at the first connection sleeve (61). By sliding the switch mechanism (6), an output shaft (4) can be switched into a fast rotation state or a slow rotation state. A section to be slid can be smaller than that in the case of switching the output shaft (4) by sliding the entire of the planetary gear deceleration mechanism (5). Therefore, a moving space for sliding can be reduced as well, so that the switch-type rotary driving device (1) is advantageous for downsizing and compactification of the device.
