Abstract

A suture attaching station attaches a needle and a suture to form a single combination. The setup of the crimping unit is facilitated by using an offline measuring fixture. The offline measuring fixture is calibrated by placing a precision gage block into the measuring fixture and then zeroing a digital measuring unit. The gage block is then replaced by the desired crimping die and the reading is noted as an offset for the servo drive of the suture attaching station. This offset is used to set the zero point of the crimping die centre.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing individual dosing quantities (2) of a powdered product(1) by means of a drum dosing device (3). The individual masses of multiple ejected dosing quantities(2) are sequentially determined by means of a measuring device. A mass mean value is formed therefrom and compared to a predetermined inner target mass range. If the mass mean value formed is inside the predetermined inner target mass range, the level of the partial vacuum acting on the dosing opening (7) in the filling position (I) remains unchanged, and the above formation of a mass mean value begins from the beginning. If the mass mean value formed is outside the predetermined inner target mass range, an adapted partial vacuum is ascertained in such a way that in the case of excessively low mass mean value, the level of the partial vacuum is increased, and in the case of excessively high mass mean value, the level of the partial vacuum is decreased, and the adapted partial vacuum is applied to the dosing opening (7) in the filling position.

Abstract

In a calibration routine, a first set of X-ray recordings of at least one closed first reference package without content is produced, and a mass calibration signature is derived therefrom. A second set of X-ray recordings of at least one closed second reference package having a reference content is produced, and a reference signature is derived therefrom. From the reference signature and the mass calibration signature, a reference measurement value is derived via subtraction. The reference mass of the reference content is ascertained by weighing and assigned to the reference measurement value. In ongoing measurement operation, at least one set of measuring X-ray recordings of closed foil packages each having a content is produced and a measurement signature is derived therefrom. Herefrom, and from the mass calibration signature, measurement values for the individual closed foil packages are derived via subtraction, from which the masses of the contents are quantitatively determined.

Abstract

A pellet column is formed in a metering duct. The lowermost pellet is located in a connection point where an outlet duct is connected to the metering duct and leads transversely away therefrom. A first duct, which opens into the metering duct via a first duct mouth above the connection point, is impinged with negative pressure, wherein a pellet is suctioned onto the first duct mouth and is fixed thereto. This pellet acts as a block for the pellets thereabove. A second duct, which opens into the connection point via a second duct mouth, is impinged with positive pressure, wherein the pellet at the connection point is pneumatically ejected via the outlet duct and supplied to a container. After the ejection of the lowermost pellet, the negative pressure in the first duct is switched off such that the pellet held at the first duct mouth advances toward the connection point.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for separating out and transferring pellets (1), in particular cryopellets, into a target container (2). The pellets (1) are guided from a storage chamber (4) into a downwardly leading and vertically oriented metering duct (5) such that a column of pellets (1) located one on top of another forms in the metering duct (5). The bottommost pellet (1') of this column of pellets (1) is located at a junction (7) at which an outlet duct (6) is connected to the metering duct (5) and leads transversely away from the metering duct (5). A first pressure-difference duct (8), which leads into the metering duct (5) above the junction (7) by means of a first duct mouth (9), is subjected to negative pressure, wherein a pellet (1") is drawn in at the first duct mouth (9) and is fixed in place there thereby, and wherein this drawn-in pellet (1") acts as a block for the pellets (1) located thereabove. A second pressure-difference duct (10), which leads into the junction (7) by means of a second duct mouth (11), is subjected to positive pressure, wherein the pellet (1') located at the junction (7) is blown out through the outlet duct (6) and fed to the target container (2). After the bottommost pellet (1') has been blown out, the holding negative pressure in the first pressure-difference duct (8) is shut down such that the pellet (1") held at the first duct mouth (9) moves on to the junction (7) and a new bottommost pellet (1') is located at the junction (7).
