Abstract

A jewelry item formed of jewelry elements having matching silhouettes attracted to and held together by magnetism and having matching and nesting lips and recesses to interlock and prevent the jewelry elements from sliding with respect to each other. A jewelry item comprising: matching front and rear jewelry elements having the same silhouette having outer perimeters, said matching front and rear jewelry elements having a lip and a recess, respectively, said lip of said front jewelry element is located proximate to and inside said outer perimeter of said front jewelry element, said recess of said rear jewelry element located proximate to and inside said outer perimeter of said rear jewelry element, said lip and recess nesting together to prevent said front and rear jewelry elements from sliding with respect to each other, and said front and rear jewelry elements comprising magnets to attract and attach said front and rear jewelry elements together.

Abstract

A jewelry article (1) with two member arms (3, 4) are connected at one end by a pivotable joint (2) at the opposite end the arms (11) are provided with posts (6) that carry an insert (5) between the two arms by extending into the recess of a bore-through of the insert where they are securely connected by magnets (7). A corresponding thread at the post and in the insert provides additional security for the placement of the insert. A leaf spring (23) further provided in the hinge (2) connection of the two member jewelry item to further ensure the secure closing of the jewelry item.
