Abstract

The present invention relates to a composition containing a plant extract of the genus Philadelphus as an active ingredient, for the prevention, alleviation, or treatment of tuberculosis. The plant extract of the genus Philadelphus significantly reduces the number of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in (in vivo samples of) mice as well as macrophages derived from mouse bone marrow infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and exhibits synergistic effects on the reduction of Mycobacterium tuberculosis when co-administered with an antituberculosis agent, and thus the plant extract of the genus Philadelphus of present invention may be usefully employed as an antituberculosis agent.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a drainage tube having a novel expandable fixing structure not requiring to be fixed to skin, the drainage tube comprising: an expandable fixing part which surrounds the part of the drainage tube that, when inserted, becomes positioned inside the body near the skin, and which expands due to a fluid supplied from the outside; and a fluid channel the distal part of which is connected to the inside of the expandable fixing part in order to supply and discharge the fluid to the expandable fixing part, and the proximal part of which comprises a fluid supply tube that is exposed to the outside of the body when the drainage tube is inserted. According to the drainage tube of the present invention, the drainage tube adheres and is fixed to the inside of the body due to the expansion of the expandable fixing part inserted into the body, and, thus, a drainage tube operation and collection can be easily performed without any separate fixing member and without causing any additional would besides a minimal hole for the insertion of the drainage tube.

Abstract

According to the present invention, polydopamine can convert a hydrophobic surface to a hydrophilic surface, and can modify various surfaces regardless of the surface properties. The polydopamine coated on the surface can form a covalent bond with an amine group and a thiol group, and secondarily modify the surface by coordinate bonding with various metals. Utilizing this versatility increases the bonding of the polydopamine with silica and DNA, and the polydopamine can also be utilized as an adsorbent.

Abstract

The present invention measures the dose distribution of radiation discharged from an insertion tool for radiation brachytherapy, and includes: a housing having, formed therein, a measurement space in which the insertion tool for radiation brachytherapy is positioned; a fluorescent member which is disposed in the housing and emits light upon reacting with the radiation discharged into the measurement space; a camera disposed in the housing; and a cover coupled to one surface of the housing and covering the fluorescent member. A fluorescent member portion, which is irradiated with the radiation radiated from a radiation source of the insertion tool for radiation brachytherapy, generates light upon reacting with the radiation, and the brightness of the light varies according to the distribution of the radiation. Thus, the positions at which the light is bright are calculated to measure the direction in which the insertion tool for radiation brachytherapy does not have shielding.
