Prepregs for use in building lay-ups of composite materials and processes for their preparation
The invention concerns a process for making a scrim-reinforced prepreg for use in building low-porosity lay-ups, characterized in that a conventional prepreg is formed of a fibrous reinforcement and a heat-curable resin, the prepreg having suitable viscosity and sufficient tackiness to hold a scrim which is adhered to the prepreg by applying light pressure, so that the scrim is impressed onto the prepreg to such a degree, that less than half of the circumference of the scrim strands becomes coated by the prepreg-resin.
The invention relates to a method for producing sliding equipment and to sliding equipment that can be produced by this method. According to said method, profiled edges (5), a lower chord (6) and an upper or shell chord (8) are introduced into a mould (1, 2), which has a corresponding shape for the sliding equipment and the mould is filled with foam in a resin foam injection process. Said sliding equipment includes in particular winter sport equipment, e.g. skis and snowboards. To produce the sliding equipment, special upper or shell chords (8), which can be fixed by particularly advantageous profiled edges (5), are used, thus simplifying the production method to a significant degree.
