Abstract

The invention relates to a drum having a drum shell forming a top and a bottom part (1, 2) and divided by a system ring (3), which drum shell is covered on each of the two open cover sides thereof by a drum head (4), which drum head is tensioned down to the drum in each case by a tension hoop (5), which is fastened to the drum by tuning screws (6), wherein the tension hoops (5) are tensioned against the common system ring (3) via the respective tuning screws (6) thereof, the top and bottom part (1, 2) being layered in between. In order to create advantageous construction conditions, according to the invention the drum shell consists, at least in sections, of stone material and the top and bottom part (1, 2) of the two-part drum shell are adhered to the system ring (3) by stone silicone as an adhesive.
