Abstract

Systems and methods for braking a power-driven shoe during an emergency scenario are described. An illustrative system may include a brushless direct current motor wherein each winding is interfaced to an emergency braking circuit. The emergency braking circuit may be configured to short each of the winding to ground which creates torque force opposite to the current motion of the motor, thus quickly decelerating the motor.

Abstract

Disclosed is a power-driven shoe. The shoe includes a shoe sole having a plurality of rotatable wheels arranged below the shoe sole in an overlapping fashion. The distance between the rotational axis of the wheels is less than or equal to the diameter of the wheel, such that vertical obstacles can be overcome in both the positive and negative displacement directions for increased ground stability. The shoe sole includes a toe part and a sole part that are connected to each other, via a hinge, in both a rotational and translational configuration, such that at least one front wheel or at least one middle wheel are independently in contact with the ground while maintaining at least one rear wheel in contact with the ground throughout a bi-pedal gait cycle, allowing for comfort during a user's natural range of motion.

Abstract

Disclosed is an anti-reverse rotation device of a power-driven shoe device, the power-driven shoe device comprising a shoe sole (1), wherein a group of front wheels (2) and a group of rear wheels (3) are arranged on a lower side surface of the shoe sole (1); and the front wheels (2) are connected to an anti-reverse rotation mechanism for preventing the front wheels (2) from rotating in reverse. The anti-reverse rotation mechanism can prevent the front wheels (2) from rotating in reverse, and as such, when the front wheels (2) are independently in contact with the ground and a certain included angle is formed between a shoe body and the ground, the situation of the front wheels (2) applying a certain pressure to the ground and the front wheels (2) rotating in reverse, such that a lifted foot moves backwards, thereby causing a person to fall down, is avoided, and walking safety is improved.
