Abstract

A B-side component of a two component low pressure polyurethane foam, the B-side component includes: a fluoride ion scavenger; one or more polyols consisting of all polyether polyols and, if the fluoride ion scavenger is a polyol, the fluoride ion scavenger, and no polyester polyols; at least one silicone polyether surfactant; at least one flame retardant and/or plasticizer; a catalyst package comprising an amine catalyst; and an HFO propellant consisting of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and no other HFO propellant. Water is in an amount of less than 1% by weight of the B-side prior to inclusion of the HFO propellant at the B-side.

Abstract

A process and composition is described for the inclusion of polyether polyols in concentrations greater than 10% loading on the B-side formulation with a catalyst package less than 1% loading on the B-side formulation. In one specific example, the use of glycerin as a fluorine ion scavenger is utilized to improve performance of the polyurethane systems through a twelve-month shelf life.

Abstract

The present disclosure provides, among other things, component parts that form curable compositions that are useful when forming dry-erase surface coatings and clear dry-erase surface coatings. In some embodiments, when a composition is extended on a substrate and cured, a surface coating or clear surface coating forms that demonstrates at least one dry-erase characteristic. The present disclosure also provides methods of forming and using such compositions.

Abstract

The invention described herein generally pertains to a composition and a method for improving the shelf life of a gaseous hydrofluoroolefin propellant, the improvement comprising at least the increased aromatic polyester polyol(s) in combination with a tertiary amine catalyst comprising at least two cyclohexyl rings and an aliphatic metal salt catalyst, the amine catalyst having less than 10% nitrogen on a weight basis.

Abstract

A process and composition are described for the inclusion of polyether
polyols in concentrations greater than 10% loading on the B-side formulation
with
a catalyst package less than 1% loading on the B-side formulation. In one
specific example, the use of glycerin as a fluorine ion scavenger is utilized
to
improve performance of the polyurethane systems through a twelve-month shelf
life.

Abstract

An apparatus for a mobile floor standing structure with a wheeled base, attached to a dry-erase board is described. The dry erase board can be secured to the stand at a vertical orientation to give rise to a vertically standing writable dry-erase board. Alternatively, the dry-erase board being pivotably oriented form a vertical position to a horizontal position to yield into a writable dry erase board in a table configuration. The wheeled base adds ease in maneuverability and portability of the apparatus.
