Abstract
Cooling device for the drive for the adjustment of the needle (5) of a needle valve nozzle (3) in hot runner systems for injection molding machines, wherein the drive is mounted on the hot runner manifold (1) of the injection molding machine and wherein the drive housing (10), in which the drive is accommodated, is connected, on the side facing the hot runner manifold (1), with a heat sink (20) of the cooling device, which heat sink is formed as a separate part. According to the invention, the heat sink (20) of the cooling device is mounted on the side of the drive housing facing the hot runner manifold (1) without bearing the weight of the drive housing (10). The heat sink (20) is provided with through-holes, through which the supports (12), which are directly or indirectly connected to the hot runner manifold (1), can extend freely, to which supports the drive housing (10) is attached (FIG. 1).

Abstract
An injection molding nozzle for dispensing of molten material includes an elongated body member having an outer surface, a first portion at a proximal end, a second portion at a distal end, and a central passageway extending longitudinally therethrough from the first portion to the second portion. The central passageway includes an inlet defined at the proximal end and splits outwardly at the second portion to form a radially extending passageway leading to an outlet. A tip member is coupled to the outlet to facilitate dispensing of molten material into a mold cavity. A groove is defined on the outer surface of the body member that winds from the first portion to a heated section of the second portion that is positioned adjacent to the tip member.

Abstract
A cascade injection molding system includes a plurality of nozzles each having a valve rod driven by a piston cylinder drive, for injecting melt into the mold cavity, A throttle check valve is located within a pressurizing medium line to regulate nozzle operation. The method includes injecting the melt at feed orifice using a needle valve-controlled needle valve nozzle associated with each feed orifice into the cavity of the molding tool. The needle valve nozzles is opened at different times by controlling the opening speed and the injection pressure at the feed orifices, via the corresponding piston-cylinder drives for the needle valve nozzles. The pressurizing medium discharge from the piston cylinder is throttled for at least one of the piston- cylinder drives when the nozzle is opened.

Abstract
A hollow heating cylinder for attachment to an injection nozzle for an injection molding system. An elongated heating cartridge is spirally wound on the outside of the cylinder. The heating cartridge contains two electrically heatable heat conductors which are electrically separated from one another and are located in different regions in the longitudinal direction of the heating cartridge. One heat conductor is positioned for heating the mouth region of the nozzle and the other heat conductor is positioned for heating the shank region of the nozzle.

Abstract
A device for division of a non-Newtonian liquid, for example a molten synthetic material, flowing through a passage (1, 21), and comprising a flow-conditioned viscosity decreasing outward in cross section in flow through a T-shaped passage branching (T) deflecting and dividing the liquid flow. In a first embodiment of the device, before the end of the supply passage (1), a partition (11) is installed in the passage branching (T) dividing the liquid counterflow from the supply passage (1) into two halves, the angular position of the partition (11) assuming a setting adapted to the distribution of the differentially viscous components of the liquid in the supply passage (1). In a second embodiment of the device, in the passage branching (T), a deflector (23) is installed, so fashioned that essentially the central (viscous) component of the liquid from the supply passage (21), prior to its deflection into the discharge passages (22a, 22b), is divided into two components and these are so deflected that the two components preferably flow diametrally towards each other in the region ahead of the discharge passages (22a, 22b).
