Abstract
This invention relates to a lubricating oil composition comprising or resulting from the admixing of: (i) a base oil; (ii) one or more overbased metal based detergents; and (3) a friction modifier comprising glycerol monooleate, glycerol dioleate, glycerol trioleate or combinations thereof at from 0.2 to 1.0 wt. % of the composition. The composition has a total sulfated ash of less than or equal to 1.0 wt. %, a high temperature high shear viscosity at 150° C. (HTHS) as determined according to ASTM D4683-20 of greater than or equal to 1.8 mPa·s and less than or equal to 2.9 mPa·s, and a total phosphorous level of less than or equal to 0.080 wt. %. The inventive composition provides a 10% to 80% decrease in journal bearing wear as measured by wear scar volume in μm3 using the MTM-R test method compared to a lubricating oil composition of comparable HTHS, but not including a friction modifier comprising glycerol monooleate, glycerol dioleate, glycerol trioleate or combinations thereof. Also provided are a method of decreasing journal bearing wear in an internal combustion engine and a method of making the lubricating oil composition.

Abstract
This invention relates to a lubricating oil composition comprising or resulting from the admixing of: (i) base oil, (ii) an overbased calcium based detergent at treat level to deliver between 500 to 1300 ppm by weight of calcium to the composition; (iii) an overbased magnesium based detergent at treat level to deliver between 500 to 1300 ppm by weight of magnesium to the composition; wherein the total weight of combined calcium and magnesium in the composition ranges from 1000 ppm to 1800 ppm. The composition has a total sulfated ash of less than or equal to 1.0 wt. %, a high temperature high shear viscosity at 150° C. of greater than or equal to 1.8 mPa·s and less than or equal to 2.9 mPa·s, and a total phosphorous level of less than or equal to 0.080 wt. %. The inventive composition provides a 5% to 60% decrease in journal bearing wear as measured by maximum average wear in microns using the TE-92 start/stop test method compared to a lubricating oil composition of comparable HTHS, but not including the mixture of the overbased calcium based detergent and the overbased magnesium based detergent. Also provided are a method of decreasing journal bearing wear in an internal combustion engine and a method of making the lubricating oil composition.

Abstract
A booster additive concentrate may advantageously contain: (a) an anti-wear mixture of two or more phosphite/phosphate compounds and one or more ether/thioether compounds; (b) an ashless dispersant; (c) a calcium-containing detergent, such as an overbased calcium phenate; (d.) >2 friction modifiers, at least one of which comprises a polyalkylene polyamine succinimide derivative; (e) optionally a corrosion inhibitor; and (f) a lubricating oil basestock. Based on these additive components, the booster additive concentrate may exhibit specific contents of B/Ca/P and may contain minimal or substantially no additional antioxidants. Lubricant compositions can be made from the booster additive concentrates and a fresh/used lubricant oil composition "diluent," which can rejuvenate the diluent. Such lubricant compositions can have advantageous anti-shudder durability (ASD) lifetimes and other frictional properties. In particular, such concentrates/compositions can offer superior lubrication when used in vehicles with continuously variable transmissions (CVTs).

In particular, such concentrates/compositions can offer superior lubrication when used in vehicles with continuously variable transmissions (CVTs).

Abstract
An improved process for the preparation of polybutene having an exo-olefin content of at least 50 mol. % by the polymerization of iso-butene, or a C4 feed containing iso-butene and other C4 olefins using (i) a Lewis acid.cndot.Lewis base catalyst complex and an alkyl halide initiator, in a substantially or completely apolar polymerization medium, in the presence of a hindered alcohol or alkoxyaluminum dichloride. In the above polymerization reaction, it has been found that a hindered alcohol or hindered alkoxyaluminum dichloride will function as an "exo enhancer" resulting in high isobutene conversion and the production of a polybutene product having a high terminal vinylidene content, while maintaining a target molecular weight.

Abstract
It has been found that the balance between friction reduction in the engine crankcase and the maintenance of sufficient friction in the clutch assembly of a 4T motorcycle, where the engine crankcase and the clutch assembly are lubricating by the same lubricating oil composition from a common sump, can be achieved by use of a lubricating oil composition comprising a combination of molybdenum containing additive and ashless organic friction modifier.

Abstract
4 olefins using (i) a Lewis acid.Lewis base catalyst complex and an alkyl halide initiator, in a substantially or completely apolar polymerization medium, in the presence of a hindered alcohol or alkoxyaluminum dichloride. In the above polymerization reaction, it has been found that a hindered alcohol or hindered alkoxyaluminum dichloride will function as an “exo enhancer” resulting in high isobutene conversion and the production of a polybutene product having a high terminal vinylidene content, while maintaining a target molecular weight.
