Abstract

The present invention relates to a microalgae cell stimulating apparatus and a method for increasing the lipid production of microalgae using the microalgae cell stimulating apparatus. When the microalgae cell stimulating apparatus according to the present invention is used to apply pressure to polyurethane beads in the microalgae cell stimulating apparatus, the restoring force of the polyurethane beads and the contact between adjacent polyurethane beads cause a chain of force dispersion events, thereby continuously applying a mechanical stimulus to the microalgae cells in the apparatus. Therefore, the present invention does not require any other external stimulus and thus is very efficient in view of energy, and does not give any chemical stimulus and thus acts stably on microalgae cells. Especially, the microalgae cell stimulating apparatus of the present invention has an effect of increasing the lipid production of the microalgae cells that have undergone a mechanical stimulus, and thus can be advantageously used in an environmentally friendly biodiesel production method.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a solder pad structure for increasing solder joint reliability of a semiconductor chip package, the solder pad structure comprising: a first solder pad formed on the lower portion of the semiconductor chip package; and a second solder pad that is provided on one surface of a printed circuit board on which the semiconductor chip package is mounted so as to correspond to the first solder pad and to which solder is joined, wherein the first solder pad has a first joint portion formed thereon which protrudes downward in a convex dome shape and to which the upper surface of the solder is joined, and the second solder pad has a second joint portion formed thereon which protrudes upward in a convex dome shape and to which the lower surface of the solder is joined. According to the present invention, when the semiconductor chip package is mounted on the printed circuit board (PCB), the protruding dome structures are employed for the interfaces of the solder pads that are joined with the solder, which makes it possible to minimize stress generated between the solder and the pads by external heat, vibration, and shock to significantly improve the reliability of the electronic component.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a polymer-attached silica capillary for separating oligosaccharides or peptides and a method for manufacturing the same. The polymer-attached silica capillary manufactured by the method according to the present invention can be favorably used in the separation and analysis of oligosaccharides, such as glucose or maltotriose, and many peptides in hydrolysates of proteins, such as cytochrome C, since a polymer film per se is formed to have excellent affinity and thus is attached to the inside of the capillary in the form of a long and uniform polymer chain; the polymer film shows the shape of a rigid film in a dried state but widely spreads on a mobile phase having a high content of acetonitrile; and the polymer film has an effect of acting in a direction of narrowing the peak band width in both aspects of analyte retention and mass transfer.

Abstract

A system, method, and apparatus for delayed optical logic gates based on slow light and enhanced nondegenerate four-wave mixing processes, where a single or multiple delayed optical routers are utilized for dark resonance interactions in which two-color lasers interact with a three-level nonlinear optical medium comprised of two ground states and one excited state through the nondegenerate four-wave mixing processes. The delayed optical logic mechanism is based on combination of single or multiple dark resonance-induced two-photon coherence conversion via slow light phenomenon. The two-photon coherence induced on the ground states is optically detected via nondegenerate four-wave mixing processes. The nondegenerate four-wave mixing generation is enhanced owing to dark resonance or electromagnetically induced transparency. The delayed optical logic gates have potential to keep up ultra-high-bandwidth optical information processing using relatively slow electronic processing devices.

Abstract

The present invention provides a method for fabricating nano material pattern comprising the steps of forming a perfluorinated polymer pattern on top of the substrate (step 1); spreading a dispersion containing the dispersed nano material on the substrate patterned in step 1) (step 2); and eliminating the perfluorinated polymer pattern formed on the substrate of step 2) (step 3). The method for fabricating nano material pattern of the present invention has advantages over the conventional lift-off method for the fabrication of nano material pattern, which are easiness in eliminating the perfluorinated polymer pattern after forming the nano material pattern with it and no chance of damaging the substrate, suggesting that the method of the invention is excellent in fabricating an excellent nano material pattern.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for preparing an organic monolith powder and an organic monolith powder prepared thereby and, more specifically, to a method for preparing an organic monolith powder, the method comprising the steps of: mixing a functional monomer and a cross-linking monomer with a solvent to prepare a mixture solution, and removing oxygen in the mixture solution (step 1); mixing the mixture solution with a pore inducing material having a molecular weight of 20,000 to 1,000,000 and a polymerization initiator, followed by a polymerization reaction (step 2); and separating organic monolith from the mixture solution in which the polymerization reaction has been conducted in step 2 (step 3). The method for preparing an organic monolith powder according to the present invention uses the pore induction material having a molecular weight of 20,000 to 1,000,000, thereby preparing an organic monolith powder which has few meso-sized pores and a large total volume of macro-sized pores. Here, the macropores are stuck into a surface region of the monolith while being absent inside the monolith pores, and thus the material transfer rate is fast, and the flow of the charging solvent is fast and strong due to the monolith form, thereby improving charging efficiency and obtaining a maximally dense charging structure. Therefore, the use of the organic monolith powder as a stationary phase of chromatography can obtain excellent separation efficiency, which is similar to that of a 5 μm-silica powder with C18 attachment.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for manufacturing a low melting point nano glass powder, which use thermal plasma generated by a direct current power source and are capable of manufacturing a bismuth-based nano glass powder, that uses bismuth (Bi) instead of the traditional lead (Pb) as the main ingredient, at a low sintering temperature, quickly at a low cost, and without fear of polluting the environment. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing a bismuth-based low melting point glass powder precursor of a micro size, having bismuth (Bi) as the main ingredient; injecting the glass powder precursor into a reaction chamber of a plasma treatment device; applying thermal plasma via a direct current power source to the glass powder precursor injected into the reaction chamber, to vaporize the glass powder precursor; and generating nano glass powder having a nano size by quenching the gas generated by vaporizing the glass powder precursor.

Abstract

Disclosed is a method for preparing a platinum-manganese dioxide/carbon complex for a positive-electrode material of a lithium-air battery. More specifically, a manganese dioxide/carbon complex is prepared by dispersing carbon in a manganese dioxide precursor solution and applying microwaves, filtering and drying to the resulting solution. Next a platinum-manganese dioxide/carbon complex is prepared by dispersing the manganese dioxide/carbon complex in ethylene glycol, adding a platinum precursor and applying microwaves to the resulting solution. The platinum-manganese dioxide/carbon complex synthesized according to the present invention exhibits lower overvoltage and higher current density in oxygen reduction and oxidation reactions as compared to either a manganese dioxide/carbon complex or a platinum/carbon complex.
