Abstract

Due to the dynamic mechanical loads to which motor vehicle traction batteries are subjected, it is advantageous for the housings of battery cells of the traction batteries to be covered at least in part by an electrically insulating layer made from a coating material. For this purpose, a method and a coating station for carrying out the method are proposed. The method is performed with a liquid electrically insulating coating material (100), by applying separately produced individual drops (102) of the coating material (100) by means of a coating applicator (20). Said drops form coating points (104) on an outer surface (210A, 210B, 210C) of the housing (204), which coating points are applied sequentially by means of the coating applicator (20), adjacently to one another or overlapping, so that together they form coating lines (106).

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for preserving cavities by applying a protective layer (110) to the interior of a hollow body (100). The method is carried out using a mixing nozzle unit, which is coupled, at a proximal end (60A), to a rotor unit (50), by means of which the mixing nozzle unit can be rotated about an axis of rotation (2), the mixing nozzle unit having a mixing nozzle (80). The mixing nozzle unit (60) has two separated supply channels (70, 72) for the cavity preservative and for gas for the purpose of atomizing the cavity preservative, which supply channels run in the direction of the axis of rotation (2) and by means of which supply channels the cavity preservative and the atomizing gas are conducted separately to the mixing nozzle. Said mixing nozzle unit (60) is inserted into the hollow body (100) in the direction of the axis of rotation (2) through an opening (102) in the hollow body (100) such that at least the mixing nozzle (80) is within the hollow body (200). By means of the mixing nozzle (80), the cavity preservative is discharged in atomized form there, the mixing nozzle unit (60) being rotated about the axis of rotation (2) relative to the hollow body (100) during the discharging or between a plurality of discharging phases.

Abstract

A support rail (10) for a robot platform (120) that is movable in translation is known in prior art. Said support rail (10) is designed in the form of a long component oriented in a main direction of extension, comprising at least one metal guide rail (42) provided on the outer side and extending in the main direction of extension, for guiding the robot platform (120). Such a support rail (10) comprises, in a downwardly facing subsection, at least one lower metal connection flange (30) for fastening the support rail (10) to a base such as a warehouse floor or to the base of a gantry (200). It also comprises, in an upwardly facing subsection, on an outer side, at least one upper metal connection flange (40) for mounting the metal guide rail, and/or directly the at least one metal guide rail (42). The aim of the invention is to improve such a support rail. To this end, the support rail (10) particularly has a support structure (20) made of concrete, on the outer side of which the lower metal connection flange (30) and the upper connection flange (40) or the guide rail (42) are mounted. The lower connection flange (30) and the upper connection flange or the guide rail are connected by a rigid metal exoskeleton structure (90) provided on the outer side of the support structure, which at least partially and preferably entirely surrounds the support structure.

Abstract

A method for covering inner walls of a cavity with a protective layer made of anti-corrosion wax, in particular for use on vehicle bodies and add-on parts for vehicle bodies. Anti-corrosion wax is brought into an atomized form (protective agent mist) by a mist generator and supplied through an outlet opening to the cavity to be preserved. The protective agent mist is deposited on inner walls of the cavity and forms an anti-corrosion agent layer.

Abstract

The invention relates in essence to a support rail (10) for a robot platform (120) that is movable in translation. This support rail (10) is in the form of an elongate component aligned in a main direction of extent, having at least one metal guide rail (90), provided on the outer side and extended in the main direction of extent, for guiding the robot platform (120). It has, in a downwardly facing subsection, at least one lower metal connection flange (30) for fastening the support rail (10) on an underlying surface, such as a shop floor, and, in an upwardly facing subsection, on an outer side, at least one upper metal connection flange (40) for mounting the metal guide rail, and/or has the at least one metal guide rail (42) itself directly. It is proposed that the support rail (10) has a support structure (20) made of concrete, on the outer side of which the lower metal connection flange (30) and the upper connection flange or the guide rail are mounted. Here, the upper metal connection flange (40), the lower metal connection flange (30) and/or the guide rail (42) are secured on the support structure (20) by means of ties (34, 44, 45) engaging in a form-fitting manner in the support structure made of concrete, and/or via a connecting inner frame (50) surrounded by the support structure.

Abstract

Disclosed are a method for preserving a cavity (22) in a vehicle body as well as an apparatus therefor. In a previously known method for preserving a cavity (22) in a vehicle body (10) using hot protective wax, protective wax is initially introduced into the cavity (22) in the vehicle body (10) and protectively covers the surfaces of the vehicle body with a protective wax layer (60) therein. According to the invention, upon feeding the protective wax, the protective wax layer (60) is affected by hot gas that is delivered into the cavity.

Abstract

Previously known methods for preserving cavities (22) in a vehicle body (10) using hot protective wax involve the steps of heating the vehicle body (10) and feeding protective wax into cavities (22) in the vehicle body (10), some of said protective wax remaining in the cavities and protectively covering the vehicle body surfaces therein. According to the invention, in a method of this kind, the vehicle body is selectively heated in the area of the cavity (22), the heating energy being supplied primarily by means of a heating fluid that is fed into the cavity (22) and/or by inductively heating walls surrounding the cavities.

Abstract

The invention relates to a nozzle (1) for applying a coating agent, in particular for applying wax when sealing a seam or for applying a preserving agent when preserving a hollow space on a vehicle body component, comprising an elongated hollow lance (4) for feeding the coating agent to be applied through the lance (4) along the longitudinal axis (17) of said lance, and comprising at least one nozzle opening (10, 11) for dispensing the coating agent. The nozzle opening (10, 11) lies in the lateral face of the lance (4), and the coating agent is dispensed in a lateral manner with respect to the longitudinal axis (17) of the lance (4). The nozzle opening (10, 11) can be rotated about the longitudinal axis (17) of the lance (4) so that the coating agent can be dispensed in different directions in a corresponding manner to the angular position of the nozzle opening (10, 11).

Abstract

The invention relates in particular to a robot system comprising a rail track (30) and a robot (10), which is designed to be displaceable in a direction of movement, guided by the rail track (30). According to the invention, the rail track (30) consists of a plurality of rail track segments (30a to 30c) disposed in the direction of movement, and the robot (10) is designed to handle such rail track segments (30b, 30c) and to extend the rail track (30) by attaching further rail track segments (30b, 30c) to a respective last rail track segment of the existing rail track (30). Furthermore, according to the invention, a tension member (28) that is attached to the robot (10), in particular a tension cable (28), is provided, which runs along the rail track (30), wherein a winding device (26) for receiving the tension member (28) is provided in order to introduce a tractive force, preferably in the region of an end of the rail track (30). The invention is used in particular in order to make it possible to provide a rail track in an area that is difficult or impossible for humans to access and to recover a robot running thereon in the event of damage.
