Abstract

A porous polyimide film is obtained from a poly(amic acid) solution containing (a) a poly(amic acid), (b) an organic polar solvent that is a good solvent for the poly(amic acid), and (c) a hydrophobic solvent that is a poor solvent for the poly(amic acid). The poly(amic acid) is obtained by polymerizing an aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydride containing at least pyromellitic dianhydride and an aromatic diamine containing at least 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl ether. The hydrophobic solvent dissolves in the organic polar solvent, evaporates less readily than the organic polar solvent at the same temperature and pressure, and has a log P in the range of 4.00 or more and 6.00 or less. A method of producing a porous polyimide film includes obtaining a porous polyimide film by drying and then baking a poly(amic acid) solution.

Abstract

The present invention provides a colorless and transparent polyimide film which exhibits excellent heat resistance, transparency and strength equivalent to those of the conventional colorless and transparent polyimide film, can be produced at a lower cost than the conventional polyimide film, and is more resistant to methyl ethyl ketone than the conventional polyimide film. The colorless and transparent polyimide film of the present invention is made from a specific polyimide resin. The specific polyimide resins comprise a site derived from BPDA, at least one site selected from the group comprising a site derived from BPADA and a site derived from ODPA, a site derived from TFMB, and at least one site selected from the group comprising a site derived from 3,3′-DDS and a site derived from 4,4′-DDS. Abstract

The present invention brings about an increase in the thermal conductivity of an elastomer molded article over a preexisting value. The method according to the present invention is a method that uses at least one of a liquid crystalline polymer and a precursor therefor as a thermal conductivity modifier for an elastomer. That is, the thermal conductivity modifier for an elastomer according to the present invention contains at least one of a liquid crystalline polymer and a precursor therefor. The thermal conductivity modifier may contain only at least one of a liquid crystalline polymer and a precursor therefor or may contain at least one of a liquid crystalline polymer and a precursor therefor along with an additional component. The method and thermal conductivity modifier according to the present invention can bring about an increase in the thermal conductivity of an elastomer molded article over a preexisting value.

Abstract

The method for producing a polyimide fiber includes a coagulation step of forming a polyimide precursor fiber by extruding a polyimide precursor solution containing a polyimide precursor and a compound having an acid dissociation constant (pKa) of a conjugate acid in water at 25° C. of 6.0 to 10 inclusive and an octanol-water partition coefficient (Log P) at 25° C. of −0.75 to 0.75 inclusive into a poor solvent or nonsolvent for the polyimide precursor; and a heat drawing step of forming the polyimide fiber by drawing the polyimide precursor fiber while heating same. The polyimide fiber of the present disclosure has a physical property such that the coefficient of thermal expansion thereof is in the range of −15 ppm/K to 0 ppm/K inclusive.

Abstract

A problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a low-friction member which does not easily lose low-friction properties thereof even when used for a relatively long period. The low-friction member LS according to the present invention is consisting of at least lubricating materials PL, PS and a polyimide resin MR. The low-friction member has a surface roughness Rsk or 0.500 or more and the surface exposure ratio of the lubricating materials of 15.0% or more. It is particularly preferred that the surface roughness Rsk be in a range of 0.0900 (inclusive) to 0.1400 (inclusive), and the surface exposure ratio of the lubricating materials be 35.0% or more. It is preferred that the lubricating materials be a fluororesin. The low-friction member thus has the property of not losing the low-friction properties thereof easily even when used for a relatively long period.

Abstract

The invention addresses the problem of providing a polyimide precursor, a polyimide precursor solution, and a mixture slurry, each capable of more firmly binding active material particles to a current collecting body. The polyimide precursor solution according to the invention contains a tetracarboxylic acid ester compound, a diamine compound having an anionic group, and a solvent. The solvent dissolves the tetracarboxylic acid ester compound and the diamine compound. As the tetracarboxylic acid ester compound, a 3,3',4,4'-benzophenonetetracarboxylic acid diester is particularly preferred. Examples of the "diamine compound having an anionic group" include 3,4-diaminobenzoic acid, 3,5-diaminobenzoic acid, and m-phenylenediamine-4-sulfonic acid. Further, the mixture slurry according to the invention contains active material particles in the polyimide precursor solution.

Abstract

Disclosed is a device for resolving obstructive sleep apnea syndrome which is less expensive and easier to use than the existing devices for resolving obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. A tube (1, 11, 31, 41) for resolving obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. This tube for resolving obstructive sleep apnea syndrome is inserted from the naris and passed through the nasal cavity to thereby dilate the airway in the pharynx. Therefore, this tube for resolving obstructive sleep apnea syndrome can be very easily attached, though it has a highly simple structure. Thus, this tube for resolving obstructive sleep apnea syndrome is less expensive and easier to use than the existing devices for resolving obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.

Abstract

A heat fixing belt that has an extremely homogeneous heat generating region and has a heat generating layer and an insulating layer strongly united together; and a process for manufacturing the same. There is provided a seamless heat fixing belt for use in an image fixing region of electrophotographic image forming apparatus, which heat fixing belt comprises a heat generating layer, an insulating layer and a release layer. The heat generating layer consists of a polyimide resin having carbon nanomaterial and filamentous metal microparticles dispersed therein. The release layer is disposed outside the insulating layer or heat generating layer.

Abstract

A photosensitive polyimide resin composition which has properties inherent in polyimide resins, such as heat resistance, electrical properties, mechanical properties, and incombustibility, is excellent in adhesion, flexibility, etc., can form a cover lay film reduced in molding warpage, and can be developed with a weakly alkaline solution of an inorganic alkali. The photosensitive polyimide precursor composition comprises at least one polyimide precursor, a photosensitizer, and a polar organic solvent. The polyimide precursor is obtained by the polymerization of at least one aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydride with at least one aromatic diamine selected among aromatic diamines respectively represented by the following chemical formulae (I) and (II).

Abstract

A coating material with which a fixing belt or the like which satisfies required properties, e.g., heat resistance at fixing temperatures and toner releasability, can be produced at low cost and which can give a fluororesin coating film free from 'sag,' 'slack,' film thickness unevenness, etc. The coating material comprises fluororesin particles, a dispersion of resin particles undergoing volatilization or the like, a thixotropic agent, and an organic solvent. The dispersion contains the resin particles undergoing volatilization or the like and a nonvolatile matter. The resin particles undergoing volatilization or the like are resin particles which volatilize or thermally decompose at a temperature lower than the thermal decomposition temperature of the fluororesin. The nonvolatile matter is contained in an amount of at least 5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the fluororesin particles.

Abstract

A folding device having a simplified structure, capable of being easily maintained and repaired, and inexpensive. The folding device has a placement member (31), a rotation mechanism (33), and plate-like members (32). The placement member (31) is a plate-like member, on a first surface of which an object to be folded is placed such that a portion of the object hangs from the surface. The rotation mechanism (33) rotates the first surface of the placement member (31) about an axis included in the first surface. The plate-like members (32) can position the portion of the object to a place near the placement member (31) by rotation of the placement member (31) caused by the rotation mechanism (33), and then the plate-like members (32) moves the portion of the object to the placement member (31) side while holding the portion.
