A face guard includes at least one wire (1, 2) or part of the wire with a shadow surface (a) and a reflection surface (b). The reflection surface (b) extends in a longitudinal direction and is adjacent to the shadow surface (a). The reflection surface (b) comprises a connection point area which comprises at least one of: a sharp edge, a bevelled area and a rounded area.
