Abstract
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for preventing or treating cerebral infarction, the composition comprising micro RNA-382-5P (miR-382-5P). The miR-382-5P is involved in interneuron adhesion, nervous system development, vocal behavior, neurotrophin signaling pathways, dopaminergic synapses, P13K-AKT signaling pathways, and apoptosis. The composition according to the present invention has an excellent effect in reducing the extent or severity of cerebral infarction.

A functional food composition for immune enhancement, comprising a persicaria senticosa extract as an active ingredient, according to the present invention, increased the proliferation of mouse spleen cells and the secretion of immune cytokines such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-10, and IFN-γ in vitro, and increased the secretion of immune cytokines such as IL-2, IL-4, and IL-10 in mouse blood in vivo, whereby the effect of activating immune enhancement has been confirmed. Thus, the functional food composition for immune enhancement can be utilized as a functional food composition useful for immune enhancement.

The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating benign prostatic hyperplasia, comprising fruit extracts of Elaeagnus multiflora Thunb. Abstract
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a Quercus acuta Thunb extract as an active ingredient for preventing and alleviating ultraviolet light-caused skin aging. It was observed that when treated with the control group UVB, HaCaT cells, which are a human epidermal keratinocyte line, increased in collagenase activity, compared to a normal group whereas, for a test group treated with UVB and a Quercus acuta Thunb extract together, collagenase activity decreased as the concentration of the Quercus acuta Thunb extract increased. Thus, the cosmetic composition for prevention and alleviation of ultraviolet light-caused skin aging according to the present invention has an excellent inhibitory effect on collagenase activity and can be used safely without toxicity and adverse effects.

Provided is a functional health food product exhibiting eye fatigue prevention and alleviation by means of luteolin-7-O-diglucuronide and apigenin-7-O-diglucuronide compounds contained in a Perilla frutescens (L.) Britton var. acuta (Thunb.) Kudo extract. It has been confirmed that the compounds of luteolin-7-O-diglucuronide and apigenin-7-O-diglucuronide are contained in equal amounts as active ingredients of freeze-dried and spray-dried products of the leaves of Perilla frutescens (L.) Britton var. acuta (Thunb.) Kudo of the present invention. In ciliary muscle cells isolated from rat eyes (rCSMCs), the amounts of NO and cGMP, which are associated with eye relaxation, are increased and the amount of [Ca2+i ion is decreased. In addition, the amount of cGMP increased in animal experiments. These compounds increase the amount of cGMP in ciliary muscle cells isolated from rat eyes, thereby being usable in a functional health food composition useful for the prevention and alleviation of eye fatigue.

The present invention relates to a composition comprising a Dendropanax morbiferus extract for improving male sexual function. One result observed from an experiment of a Dendropanax morbiferus extract using the corpus cavernosum penis of a rabbit shows that a water extract, an ethanol extract, and an aqueous solution of an ethanol extract of the Dendropanax morbifera leaf and a fraction of a hot water extract of Dendropanax morbifera, which is fractionated by using any one selected from the group consisting of butanol, hexane, ethyl acetate, and chloroform as a fractional solvent, relaxes the smooth muscle of the corpus cavernosum penis, thereby enhancing the erection of the penis, and particularly improving male sexual function by showing the significant relaxing effect on the corpus cavernosum penis of a rabbit. Therefore, the composition comprising the Dendropanax morbiferus extract or the Dendropanax morbiferus fraction as an active ingredient for improving male sexual function can be used as a functional food composition for improving male sexual function by alleviating or preventing erectile dysfunction and can also be used as a pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing male sexual diseases such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, inhibited ejaculation, or sexual impotence.
