Abstract

A top portion extends from an upper end of a handle. The top portion is curved from the front to the back. A clearance is located between the back side of the razor head and the front of the top portion of the holder. The clearance between the back side of the razor head and the front of the top portion is changed by means of a pivoting mechanism such that, when the razor head is at the neutral position, the clearance at a position separated from the cutting edge is greater than the clearance at a position in the vicinity of the cutting edge. When the razor head is moved from the neutral position to a specified movement position, the clearance at the position separated from the cutting edge is less than the clearance at a position in the vicinity of the cutting edge.

Abstract

a of the blade body 4 is exposed at the top member 6. The base is elastically supported by the leaf spring so as to move integrally against a pressing force from the skin surface when the blade body is caused to contact the skin surface. A contact pressure of the blade body 4 on the skin surface is restricted, thereby improving the shaving performance. Further, since a single-component blade member 3 having the blade body 4 on the base is fitted between the blade base member 5 and the top member 6, this simplifies the structure for elastically supporting the blade body 4 and allowing the blade body 4 to move.

Abstract

In a cutting edge of a razor blade, a non-nitrided layer containing Ti, Al, and Cr formed on opposite surfaces of a base plate as a portion of a coating layer. A remaining layer containing Ti, Al, Cr, and N formed on opposite surfaces of the non-nitrided layer as a portion of a nitrided layer of the coating layer. A surface layer containing Ti, Al, Cr, and N formed on opposite surfaces of the remaining layer as a portion of the nitrided layer of the coating layer. A fluororesin layer formed on opposite surfaces of the surface layer with a bonding layer containing Cr and Al in between. The coating layer further improves the cutting edge, enhances cutting performance of the cutting edge, and maintains the enhanced cutting performance to improve the durability of the cutting edge.

Abstract

A pair of scissors with comb comprises a first blade having an edge, a second blade openably and closably supported together with the first blade and having an edge and a comb member attached to the first blade. The comb member is provided with a plurality of comb tooth groups with different characteristics from each other. The comb member is attached to and detached from the first blade. The mounting state of each comb tooth group is changed with respect to the first blade, whereby, for example, an extending direction of the comb tooth group is changed based on differences in the direction of eyebrows so that each comb tooth group can be used properly. Since an extending direction of a comb tooth of each comb tooth group inclines, the scissors with comb can be rendered convenient when eyebrows are trimmed.
