Abstract

A retroreflective sheet 9 of the present invention includes; a surface layer 1; a glass bead holding layer 5 containing glass beads 3 that are located randomly as viewed cross-sectionally; and a metal reflective layer 4 on a back surface side of the glass bead holding layer 5. The surface layer 1 is a vinyl chloride resin layer. The retroreflective sheet further includes, between the vinyl chloride resin layer and the glass bead holding layer, a barrier layer 2 for preventing deterioration of the metal reflective layer. The barrier layer 2 is preferably an alkyd-melamine resin layer. Thereby, it is possible to provide a retroreflective sheet that can prevent the degradation of, e.g., the reflective function of the metal reflective layer on the back surface side of the glass bead holding layer and thus maintaining high weather resistance and wide-angle reflectivity, and that can exhibit high surface printability.

Abstract

This retroreflective sheet 9 includes: a surface layer 1; a glass-bead holding layer 5 that contains glass beads; and a metal reflective layer 4 on the back-face side of the glass-bead holding layer 5. Glass beads 3 are arranged in random positions in a cross-sectional view; the surface layer 1 is a vinyl chloride resin layer; and between the vinyl chloride resin layer and the glass-bead holding layer, a barrier layer 2 for preventing degradation of the metal reflective layer is included. The barrier layer 2 is preferably an alkyd-melamine resin layer. Due to this configuration, it is possible to prevent a reduction in the reflection function or the like of the metal reflective layer on the back-face side of the glass-bead holding layer, thereby enabling enhanced weatherability to be maintained and providing a retroreflective sheet with wide-angle reflectivity and improved surface printability.

Abstract

A sublimating dye ink for ink jets of the present invention contains water, a sublimating dye, a humectant and an anionic polymer dispersant. The anionic polymer dispersant is a styrene-(meth)acrylic acid-based copolymer having an acid value of 160 to 250 mgKOH/g and a weight average molecular weight of 8,000 to 20,000. The ink contains further as a penetrant an acetylene glycol-based compound expressed by a chemical formula (I) below. A sublimation transfer dyeing method of the present invention includes: inkjet printing the ink on a sheet recording medium; and superposing a printed surface of the recording medium on an object to be dyed, then heating to sublimate-transfer the sublimating dye to the object to be dyed. Thereby, the present invention provides a sublimating dye ink for ink jets containing a sublimating dye, which has high-quality and stable recording performance, maintains the ink storage stability, and at the same time, the ink has a high print density on a surface of a recording medium, and reduces environmental pollution during a dyeing process.

Abstract

This sublimating dye ink for ink jets contains water, a sublimating dye, a moisturizing agent, and an anionic polymer dispersant. The anionic polymer dispersant is a stryrene-(meth) acrylate-based copolymer having an acid value of 160-250 mgKOH/g and a weight-average molecular weight of 8,000-20,000, and contains an acetylene glycol-based compound indicated by chemical formula (I), as a penetration agent. In this sublimation transfer dyeing method, ink jet printing using said ink is performed on a sheet-shaped recording medium, then the printing surface of the recording medium is superposed on the dyeing target and heated, and the sublimating dye is sublimation-transferred to the dyeing target object. As a result, a sublimating dye ink for ink jets is provided that contains a sublimating dye having high quality and stable recording properties, maintaining the storage stability of the ink, having high printing concentration on recording medium surfaces, and having reduced environmental contamination during the dyeing process. Also provided is a dyeing method using same.

Abstract

The present invention is directed to providing a retroreflective sheet for security that is difficult to be counterfeited, cannot be reused if once released, includes a printed image that can be identified visually regardless of an object to be attached such as a colored glass and also can be identified visually clearly even in the night time, and is directed to providing a method for manufacturing the same. The retroreflective sheet for security of the present invention includes: a surface layer 1; a binder layer 2; high-refractive-index glass beads 3; a print resin layer 4; a focusing layer 5; a metal layer 6; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 7 in this order, wherein the print resin layer 4 forms a mark, the high-refractive-index glass beads 3 are disposed in the binder layer 2, a position for disposing the high-refractive-index glass beads 3 does not coincide with a position of the print resin layer 4, when being observed from the surface layer 1 side in a thickness direction of the retroreflective sheet for security, and the print resin layer 4 is made of a composition containing a room temperature curing resin as a main component.
