Abstract
The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method for generating an exercise program comprising a plurality of exercise intervals, the method comprising the steps of: —providing a playlist comprising at least one music track, —identifying a plurality of music sections in the at least one music track, wherein each music section is identified based on identification of musical characteristics such as musical elements and time flow, —generating an exercise program, the exercise program comprising a plurality of exercise intervals, wherein at least the timing and intensity of each exercise interval correspond to one or more consecutive identified music sections of the at least one music track in the playlist. Thereby, the user. e.g. the athlete or an instructor, can end up with an exercise program, where there is a fit between the exercise intervals in the exercise program and the music accompanying the training program. An intuitive feel of intensity is obtained based on the songs in the playlist accompanying the training program, because the exercise program and its exercise intervals have been generated based on the music and the music sections in the music.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method for providing an interactive training environment for athletic activities performed by a participant on an exercise machine the method comprising the steps of, - receiving intensity data describing the intensity of an athletic activity being performed on said exercise machine; - generating a virtual training world and displaying a visual representation of the virtual training world, the visual representation representing the participant position in the virtual training world - continuously updating the visual representation of the virtual training world and thereby creating the visual impression that said participant is moving into the virtual training world with a speed or inclination which is determined based on the received intensity input. Thereby the virtual training environment adapts to the training intensity of the participant.

Abstract
A method provides an interactive training environment for athletic activities performed on an exercise device. A workout plan is selected or generated, having a plurality of sequential intervals, each having at least one training parameter, such as intensity. A virtual training world is generated, having a virtual training surface divided into a plurality of sequential intervals, each interval having an inclination that is a function of the training parameter associated with the respective intervals of the workout plan. World features, which may include turns in the training surface, may be pseudo-randomly generated. A visual representation of the virtual training world is displayed and represents a participant position in the virtual training world. The participant position is synchronized based on speed, distance traveled, or elapsed time. Feedback indicia are displayed to the participant, such as interval markers indicating borders or transitions between the sequential intervals.
