Abstract
A folding device having a simple structure and capable of efficiently folding an unfilled portion of a bagged culture medium block is provided. The folding device has a bag body, which has at least a bottom portion and a bag mouth, and has a filled portion in the bag body, in which a predetermined amount of culture medium is filled, and the unfilled portion, which is from an upper surface of the filled portion to the bag mouth. The folding device includes an opening mechanism for blowing air from a side of the bag mouth into the bag body to keep the bag mouth open; a folding mechanism having one or more folding jigs for pushing the unfilled portion of the bag body from inside or outside; and a tilting mechanism for tilting the unfilled portion toward the direction approaching to the filled portion.

Abstract
Provided is a folding device having a simple configuration and being capable of efficiently folding an unfilled portion of a bagged culture medium block. Also provided is a containerization device or a cart-loading device similarly having a simple configuration and being efficient. One embodiment provides a folding device for folding an unfilled portion of a bagged culture medium block comprising a filled portion, in which a predetermined quantity of culture medium is filled inside a bag body having at least a bottom section and a bag opening, and the unfilled portion, which is the area between the top surface of the filled portion and the bag opening, said folding device being characterized by being provided with an opening mechanism for placing the bag opening in an open state by blowing air thereto from the bag opening side, a folding mechanism having one or more folding jigs for pressing the unfilled portion of the bag body from the inside or the outside, and a push-down mechanism for pushing the unfilled portion down in a direction approaching the filled portion.
