Abstract

A combination lock comprising a housing; a locking bolt with at least one end segment extending into the housing; a latch accommodated within the housing and selectively engageable with the locking bolt, and configured for displacing between a latched state in which the locking bolt is in secure engagement with the latch, defining a locked state of the lock, and an unlatched state in which the locking bolt is free to disengage therefrom, defining an open state of the lock; and a combination mechanism accommodated within the housing; the combination mechanism comprising a locking assembly engaged with a manipulator configured for introducing a combination thereto by planar displacement of the manipulator; a locking member configured for displacing between an engaged state with respect to the locking assembly and a disengaged state with respect to the locking assembly; and a reset member configured for resetting the locking assembly for introduction of another combination; wherein, displacement of the latch to the latched state is achieved only when the locking member is in its disengaged position, and wherein the manipulator is in selective engagement with both the locking member and the reset member, allowing both disengagement of the locking member and resetting of the mechanism by the reset member, by the manipulator.

Abstract

According to the present application there is provided a lock comprising a housing, a locking mechanism, and a locking member configured for displacement with respect to the housing between a closed position and an open position, defining respective open and closed states of the lock. The lock further comprises a bolt configured for displacing between an unlocked position in which the locking member is free to displace between its closed and open positions, and a locked position in which the bolt prevents displacement of the locking member between its open and closed positions. The bold bolt comprises a follower and an arresting bar attached to one another and configured for displacement as a single body owing to engagement between the locking member and the follower. The follower and the arresting bar comprise different materials.

Abstract

A combination lock comprising a housing having an lodge port configured for removably receiving therein a shank; a locking bar received within the housing and having a shank port. The locking bar is configured for displacing at least between an open position in which the shank port is aligned with the lodge port to allow a locking portion of the shank to displace into the housing through both ports, and a securing position in which the shank port is misaligned with the lodge port to prevent the locking portion of the shank from displacing outside the housing via the shank port; a combination mechanism associated with the locking bar and configured for switching between at least an unlocked position in which the locking bar is free to displace from its closed position to its open position, and a locked position in which the locking bar is arrested; a securing arrangement constituted by an arresting member of the locking bar configured for interlocking engagement with an arresting portion of the housing, and a biasing mechanism for urging the locking bar into the interlocking engagement with the arresting portion of the housing, the securing arrangement being configured, when the locking portion of the shank is dislodges from the lodge port, for preventing displacement of the locking bar from its open position.
