The invention relates to a damaged hair-improving agent, comprising: (A) an ester compound composed of dipentaerythritol and at least one fatty acid selected from the group consisting of fatty acids having 5 to 16 carbon atoms, wherein the molar ratio of the dipentaerythritol residue to the fatty acid residue having 5 to 16 carbon atoms is 1.0:3.0 to 1.0:6.0; (B) an ester compound which has a linear or branched alkyl group or alkenyl group having 16 to 18 carbon atoms and has a viscosity at 25ºC of 2,000 mPa·s or less; (C) an alcohol which has a linear or branched alkyl group or alkenyl group having 16 to 18 carbon atoms and has a viscosity at 25ºC of 2,000 mPa·s or less; and (D) at least one substance selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon oils having 20 or more carbon atoms. Provided is an oil base for cosmetics containing an ester compound composed of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid, wherein the ester compound is composed of dipentaerythritol and at least one fatty acid selected from the group consisting of fatty acids having 5 to 16 carbon atoms, and the molar ratio of dipentaerythritol residues to fatty acid residues having 5 to 16 carbon atoms in the ester compound is from 1.0:3.0 to 1.0:6.0. The oil base for cosmetics provides a moist and moderate oily feeling, is free from unpleasant stickiness, is excellent in safety and adhesiveness to the skin, has an excellent effect of maintaining gloss after applied to the skin, and has high compatibility with an oil agent. Further, when the oil base is contained in various cosmetics, an adequate emollient property or the like can also be imparted to the cosmetics.
Disclosed is an oily base agent for cosmetic material that contains an ester compound comprising a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid. Provided is a novel water-in-oil emulsified cosmetic which contains neopentyl glycol diisononanoate. The cosmetic gives not only a nongreasy feeling in use but also moderate oiliness without causing uncomfortable clamminess after application. Further, the cosmetic well agrees with the skin, rarely settles in lines or runs, prevents shine even after the lapse of a long time after application, and is lowly irritant to the skin and highly safe. Additionally, the cosmetic is easily removable by means of a commercially available cleansing agent. The water-in-oil emulsified cosmetic comprises (A) 10 to 60parts by mass of a diester represented by formula (I); (B) 1.0 to 11 parts by mass of a nonionic surfactant; (C) 0.3 to 11 parts by mass of an oil- and/or water-soluble thickener, (D) 0.1 to 30 parts by mass of a powdery material; and (E) 5.0 to 75 parts by mass of water, the total amount of the components (A) to (E) being 100 parts by mass.
There is provided a novel water-in-oil type emulsified cosmetic comprising a diester of neopentylglycol with isononanoic acid. Said cosmetic exhibits not only the refreshed feeling on use without unfavorable stickiness after application, but also proper oily feeling. There are obtained good affinity to the skin, little occurrence of creasing and/or make-up deterioration, no oily sheen upon the elapse of long periods of time after application, and little irritation to the skin and excellent safety to the skin. In addition, the present cosmetic is able to be removed with commercially available cleansing agents. Moreover, the dispersibility of pigments as well as the storage stability is excellent.

With a conventional cosmetic material, a cosmetic product showing excellent sense of use and sufficient storage stability could not be achieved, and currently, a cosmetic product excellent in sense of use without providing sticky feeling or the like is poor in storage stability. In the invention, a cosmetic material for providing a cosmetic product which is more excellent in sense of use and storage stability as the cosmetic material and a method for producing the same are provided. The cosmetic material of the invention is characterized by comprising an amino acid-based oil gelling agent, a polyamide resin, and one or more monoesters selected from monoesters having a C9-C24 linear or branched fatty acid residue and/or a C9-C24 linear or branched alcohol residue. This can achieve a cosmetic product having both excellent sense of use and sufficient storage stability.
