A cord (C) developed according to the present invention comprises at least three layers (Fl, F2, F3) each having a different modulus and shrinkage and having a suitable structure for use in the inner layers of a pneumatic tire. The first layer (Fl) comprises at least one polyester yam, the second layer (F2) comprises at least one yarn having a modulus which is at most 80% of the modulus of the polyester yarn, and the third layer (F3) comprises at least one yarn having a modulus which is at least 150% of the modulus of the polyester yarn. With the cord (C) according to the present invention a tire incorporating this cord (C) is made durable even at different rotational speeds. Additionally, the tire is protected against damages which may occur in the vulcanization step during production.

The present invention relates to a method for enabling a production machine in a cord production system (1) to be stopped synchronously during sudden interruptions such as a power failure or a power loss in yam twisting machines. Further, the method enables operation without problem when the motors receive power again, and enables to obtain twisted cord reel without quality problems within the tolerances in the final product.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for producing fiber or fiber compositions comprising unsaturated bonds. These fibers eliminate dipping and curing process in producing fiber reinforced rubber and the need for the chemicals used during dipping process. These novel yarns, thus, decrease the costs of producing fiber reinforced rubber. The objective of the present invention is to produce fiber comprising unsaturated bonds which do not require treatment with RFL solution and activating chemicals in the fiber reinforced rubber materials. Reinforced rubber production will have lower production, processing and investment costs and will be more environmental friendly since RFL solution and activating chemicals are not used. Fibers with good fatigue and elongation properties can be produced without needing high twisting levels since the unsaturated fibers have higher elongation than the saturated fibers.

A multi-ply synthetic monofilament cord for tire reinforcement is made of nylon 66 monofilament fibers with 3 to 7 monofilaments in the same body. The cord characteristics are such that the monofilaments are twisted around each other by 50 - 200 tpm twist levels. Each monofilament has minimum 0.23 mm up to maximum 0.50 mm diameter, or minimum 475 dtex upto 2200 dtex. Such multi-ply synthetic monofilament cords have potential application as carcass reinforcement for tires, breaker reinforcement for tires, belt protective layer for radial truck and bus tires, belt reinforcement for tires and carcass for aircraft tires. The monofilaments are synthetic organic materials like nylon 66 or PET (polyethylene terephtalate).
