Abstract

This cosmetic container, which houses a cosmetic, has a tip opening formed at the tip of the cosmetic container and can project and retract an applicator containing the cosmetic through a passage that communicates with the tip opening. The cosmetic container has a protrusion which protrudes radially inwards from the inner wall of said passage and which, when the applicator is projected through the passage, contacts the applicator to adjust to a prescribed amount the cosmetic contained in the applicator. The protrusion is arranged such that, when the applicator is retracted through the passage, the protrusion is in a position a prescribed distance away from the tip opening such that the cosmetic dripped from the applicator into the passage in front of the protrusion due to the protrusion contacting the applicator does not leak from the tip opening.

Abstract

[Problem] To provide a writing tool in which one of assemblies of a plurality of writing bodies and slide guides can be assembled into one of slide guide holes more easily than before. [Solution] A writing tool according to an embodiment is provided with: a shaft cylinder having a plurality of slide guide holes open in a radial direction; a plurality of slide guides that are respectively assembled into the plurality of slide guide holes and slide in an axial direction; and a plurality of writing bodies that are respectively assembled into the plurality of slide guides. One of the plurality of writing bodies can be selected and caused to protrude from a tip opening of the shaft cylinder. The slide guides have an engagement protrusion extending in a circumferential direction. When the slide guides are assembled into the slide guide holes, the engagement protrusion of the slide guides or the slide guide holes elastically deform in the circumferential direction.

Abstract

[Problem] To provide a mechanical pencil having a cushion spring producing a writing sensation superior to that of the prior art. [Solution] A mechanical pencil according to an embodiment comprises a writing core, a chuck unit for holding the writing core, and a cushion spring for elastically supporting the chuck unit such that the same can be moved back by writing pressure. The output of the cushion spring in relation to a cushion stroke is non-linear. The spring constant slope in an area where the cushion stroke is relatively small is smaller than the spring constant slope in an area where the cushion stroke is relatively large.

Abstract

A clip mounting structure for a writing implement has a shaft tube, a clip mounted at the rear part of the shaft tube, and an insertion member inserted into the rear part of the shaft tube. A clip mounting section to which the rear part of the clip is fitted and aligned is formed at the rear part of the shaft tube. Mounting sections curved in the direction along the inner peripheral surface of the shaft tube are formed at opposite sides of the rear part of the clip. Fitting recesses into which the mounting sections of the clip are fitted are formed in the outer wall of the insertion member. With the mounting sections of the clip fitted in and engaged with the fitting recesses in the insertion member, the insertion member is inserted into the rear part of the shaft body to fit the rear part of the clip into the clip mounting section of the shaft tube. Thus, the insertion member is engaged in position inside the shaft tube.

Abstract

A needle thread passing device small-sized and conveniently stowable. A needle receiving member (34) has formed therein a needle inserting hole (34c) and a thread inserting slit (34e) having an angle relative to the needle inserting hole (34c). A thread passing member (42) is adapted to be movable between a position at which the thread passing member (42) is separated from the needle receiving member (34) and a position at which the thread passing member (42) is located proximate to the needle receiving member (34). Also, the thread passing member (42) has a thread passing pin (48b) which can, when the thread passing member (42) moves fromthe separated position to the proximate position, push out a thread, inserted in the thread inserting slit (34e), into a needle hole (52a) in a needle (52) inserted in the needle inserting hole (34c). A cover (32) is adapted to be movable relative to a body (30) in which the needle receiving member (34) is housed. The thread passing member (42) is constantly urged to the position at which the thread passing member (42) is separated from the needle receiving member (34). The cover (32) is adapted to be movable between a restraining position for restraining the thread passing member (42) at a position at which the thread passing member (42)is located proximate to the needle receiving member (34) and a permitting position for permitting the thread passing member to move between the separated position at which the thread passing member is separated from the needle receiving member and the proximate position at which thread passing member is located proximate to the needle receiving member.

Abstract

A lead cartridge has a tank part for storing leads and is detachably connected to a receiving part provided at the lead send-out mechanism of a mechanical pencil so as to supply a lead. It is possible to reduce costs for manufacturing the lead cartridge and the number of manufacturing steps and prevent the falling out of the lead from the lead cartridge. The lead cartridge (10) has a case (12) and a swing cover (14). The case (12) has a tank part (12a) demarcated therein and the tip of the case (12) is made to be an open tip connection part (12b). Between the tank part (12a) and the tip connection part (12b), a lead port (12e) is formed. The swing cover (14) is mounted swingably to a closing position for closing the lead port (12e) and an opening position for opening the lead port (12e) in the case (12). The swing cover (14) has a part to be interfered (14c) which can be interfered with an interference part (46e) of a cartridge receiving part (46b) of the mechanical pencil. The swinging cover (14) is urged in a swinging direction from the opening position to the closing position. However, when the open tip connection part (12b) is engaged with the cartridge receiving part (46b), the part to be interfered (14c) is interfered with the interference part (46e) and to swing from the closing position to the opening position.

Abstract

A stick-shaped article propelling container that absorbs a variation in the size of a stick-shaped article to allow a contact section to be in contact with the article at an appropriate pressure. The stick-shaped article propelling container has an outer tube (11) having at its front inner periphery a front spring receiver (11a), an inner tube (12) slidably inserted in the outer tube and having formed on its outer periphery a rear spring receiver (12a), a spring (13) allowing its front end to be in contact with the front spring receiver and its rear end to be in contact with the rear spring receiver to urge the inner tube rearward, a chuck (17) adapted so that it can hold the stick-shaped article (16), inserted in the inner tube, at its front end, and a chuck ring (18). A ring member (21) is provided between the front end of the spring (13) and the front spring receiver (11a), and the rear end of an elastic piece (22) extending along the stick-shaped article is provided at the ring member. A contact section (23) is formed at the front end of the elastic piece, and the contact section (23) is made to be in contact with the stick-shaped article (16) by elasticity of the elastic piece (22). An engagement piece for preventing forward movement of the ring member is provided either at the inner ring in which the ring member is fitted or at the chuck.
