The invention relates to a process for selective flotation of kainite from crushed crude potash salts or, for example, from crystallized salt mixtures obtained by evaporation processes, which in addition to kainite may contain further minerals such as halite, sylvine and other salt minerals, for example, in order to produce a kainite concentrate fraction and a residues fraction. The separation process is characterized in that the crushed or crystallized salt mixture is intensively mixed as a crystallizate suspension with a combination of conditioning agents consisting of a sulfated fatty acid or its alkali metal salt as collecting reagent and a frothing agent known for flotation (for example, glycol ether, monohydric aliphatic alcohols, terpene alcohols, polyglycol ethers, etc.) and is then separated by agitator-driven or pneumatic flotation into a kainite concentrate fraction and a residues fraction. The resulting fractions may be further processed in downstream processes. This process permits industrial-scale processing for selective extraction of kainite from mineral mixtures by means of the flotation process.

PROCESS FOR THE SELECTIVE FLOTATION OF KAINITE FROM MINERAL MIXTURES USING SULFATED FATTY ACIDS AS THE COLLECTOR REAGENT
The invention relates to a process for the selective flotation of kainite from ground potash ores or, for example, from crystallized salt mixtures which are obtained by evaporation processes and can contain other minerals in addition to kainite, such as halite, sylvite and other salt minerals, in order to produce a kainite concentrate fraction and a residue fraction. The separation process is characterized in that the ground or crystallized salt mixture in the form of a crystallizate suspension is intensively mixed with a conditioning-agent combination consisting of a sulfated fatty acid or the alkali salt thereof as the collector reagent and of a known flotation foaming agent (e.g. glycol ethers, monovalent aliphatic alcohols, terpene alcohols, polyglycol ethers etc.) and is subsequently separated into a kainite concentrate fraction and a residue fraction by agitator flotation or pneumatic flotation. The fractions that are formed can be further treated in downstream processes. This process allows an industrial-scale treatment for the selective recovery of kainite from mineral mixtures with the aid of the flotation process.

Granulates which mainly consist of potassium chloride, at least one magnesium sulphate hydrate and magnesium oxide, as well as, if applicable, one or more salts chosen from sodium chloride and sodium sulphate, in which the potassium content, calculated as K2O ranges from 35 to 50 % by weight and the content of water-soluble magnesium, calculated as MgO(water-soluble), ranges from 2 to 10 % by weight, in each case referring to the granulates.
The invention presented concerns processes for the granulation of salt mixtures containing potassium chloride and at least one magnesium sulphate hydrate, which have a potassium content, calculated as K20, of 35 to 50 Wt.% and a magnesium content, calculated as MgO, of 2 to 10 Wt.%, with reference to the granulate in each case. The process according to the invention includes the granulation of the salt mixture via press agglomeration, where water is added to the salt mixture before or during press agglomeration. The granulates obtained in this way are characterized by high mechanical stability, low dust-forming characteristics and good hygroscopic resistance. Furthermore, a high content of the entire magnesium content of the granulates is immediately available to the plant.

Process for the manufacture of nano-scale, primary, coated hydrotalcite and hydrotalcite
The invention presented concerns a process for the manufacture of coated, nano-scale, hydrotalcites, where the individual, primary, nano-scale hydrotalcite particles are coated. In order to obtain the corresponding hydrotalcite particles in coated, nano-scale form, the additive precipitation reaction is employed invention-related. Every primary particle indicates its own coating in this case. In a further aspect, the registration is directed toward coated primary, nano-scale, hydrotalcite particles, in particular obtainable in accordance with the invention-related process. A further aspect of the invention is directed toward composites containing nano-scale hydrotalcites, in particular hydrotalcites manufactured in accordance with the invention presented. Finally the registration presented is directed towards compositions containing mixtures of magnesium hydroxide and hydrotalcite.
The invention relates to a method for reducing the losses of valuable substances in mineral processing, wherein a mineral mixture, dry or suspended, has a grain fraction with a tailings portion and a superficial valuable material portion after a first separation stage, and the tailings portion quantitatively exceeds the valuable material portion, the mineral mixture being suspended, insofar as it is not already a suspension, for the agglomeration of grains of the grain fraction with the valuable material portion, and a substantially hydrophobic agent with a content of anionic or cationic amphiphilic molecules is added to the suspended mineral mixture in order to wet the surface of the valuable substance portion to form agglomeration bridges between the valuable material portions of the grains, wherein the mineral mixture is routed in a solution saturated with the valuable material portion and the tailings to a wet separation stage for classification into a fraction richer in valuable material and a fraction less rich in valuable material, wherein separation in the wet separation stage is performed with the aid of a liquid film flow, the fraction richer in valuable material discharged from the wet separation stage being wet-ground, and the wet-ground fraction being fed to a further classification stage.

Electrostatic separation of a mixture of valuable materials, e.g., a mineral salt mixture, by means of a pipe separator, and device for electrostatically separating such a mixture of valuable materials by means of a pipe separator, and method for electrostatic separation
The invention relates to a pipe separator (5) for electrostatically separating particles of a mixture of valuable materials, e.g., a mineral salt mixture, having different electrical charges, comprising a carrier pipe (10), wherein the carrier pipe has two field electrodes (8, 9) arranged opposite each other for generating an electric field, wherein the field electrodes (8, 9) are covered toward the inside by an insulating layer.

The present invention relates to a process for producing coated, nanoscale hydrotalcite, wherein the individual primary nanoscale hydrotalcite particles have been coated. For this purpose, in accordance with the invention, additives are used in the precipitation reaction in order to obtain the corresponding hydrotalcite particles in coated, nanoscale form. In this case, each primary particle has its own coating. In a further aspect, the application is directed to coated primary, nanoscale hydrotalcite particles, especially those obtainable by the process according to the invention. A further aspect of the invention is directed to composites comprising nanoscale hydrotalcites, especially hydrotalcites produced according to the present invention. Finally, the present application is directed to compositions comprising mixtures of magnesium hydroxide and hydrotalcite.
