Abstract

Provided is a bulked yarn, comprising a bulked single spun yarn obtained from a composite twisted yarn comprising a single spun yarn and a water-soluble yarn, which are twisted together in a direction opposite to a twisting direction of the single spun yarn, by dissolving and removing the water-soluble yarn in a hydrophilic solvent from the composite twisted yarn. When the bulked yarn having a length of 100 cm is hung down in a state where both ends of the yarn are fixed at a distance of 10 cm from each other in a direction perpendicular to the direction of gravitational force, twisting does not occur or an average value of the distances from the uppermost end of a twisting section to the first and second fixed ends of the yarn is 30 cm or more.

Abstract

Disclosed is a bulking yarn that includes a spun single bulking fiber obtained by dissolving a water soluble yarn in a hydrophilic solvent to remove the water soluble yarn from a composite twist yarn, wherein a single spun yarn and the water soluble yarn are twisted in the opposite direction to the twisting direction of the single spun yarn. When both ends of a 100-cm length of yarn are fixed and hung 10 cm apart in a perpendicular direction to gravity, either the building yarn does not twist, or the average value for the distance from the uppermost end of a twisting section to the left and right ends of the yard is 30 cm min. The bulking yarn has excellent texture, lightweight properties, and anti-piling properties, as well as excellent weaving and knitting properties and productivity. In addition, woven or knit fabric obtained by using this bulking yarn is lightweight but voluminous, is softer with an excellent feel, has greater heat-insulating properties and improved air permeability, has greater resistance to piling, sheds no fluff, and has excellent rapid-drying properties despite having great water absorbency.

The textile with a non-woven fabric backing is a textile provided with a non-woven fabric backing layer bonded thereto, and is produced by: using a non-woven fabric laminate in which both an non-woven fabric that is constituted of short fibers and has a thickness of 2mm or more and a thin non-woven fabric that consists of polypropylene and has a basis weight of 5g/m2 or above are unified; melting the thin non-woven fabric layer by means of a flame; and then fusion-bonding the non-woven fabric laminate to one surface of a textile in a manner that keeps the thin non-woven fabric layer in a molten state to unify the non-woven fabric laminate and the textile. The textile with a non-woven fabric backing can be conveniently treated as industrial waste, or can be reused as a recycled material. Further, the textile with a non-woven fabric backing can yield a covering with improved appearance and cushioning properties, without impairing the working atmosphere.
