Abstract
An ash removal apparatus and an ash removal method for a tubular heat exchanger, comprising a first drive plate (1), a second drive plate (2), ash removal rings (3), and a power mechanism (4); the first drive plate (1) and the second drive plate (2) are each provided with a plurality of through holes (5); heat exchange tubes (6) are slotted into the through holes of the drive plates; the ash removal rings (3) are arranged between the first drive plate (1) and the second drive plate (2) and are movably sleeved on the heat exchange tubes (6); the power mechanism (4) is connected to the first drive plate (1) and to the second drive plate (2); the first drive plate (1) or the second drive plate (2) is driven by the power mechanism to drive the ash removal rings (3) to move along the outer walls of the heat exchange tubes (6). By combining drive plates with ash removal rings, and by fitting said ash removal rings on heat exchange tubes, ash may be effectively removed from the outer walls of said heat exchange tubes. The invention has a simple structure and is quite practical.

Abstract
A self-cleaning air preheater, comprising: a heat exchange chamber (1); a flue gas inlet (2) provided at the top end of the heat exchange chamber (1); a flue gas exhaust port (3) provided at the bottom end of the heat exchange chamber (1); a plurality of heat exchange tubes (4) arranged in the horizontal direction inside the heat exchange chamber (1); and a partition plate (5) arranged at both ends of the heat exchange tubes (4). The heat exchange tubes (4) comprise upper-layer heat exchange tubes (41) and lower-layer heat exchange tubes (42); one end of the lower-layer heat exchange tubes (42) is provided with an air inlet (6), and the same end of the upper-layer heat exchange tubes (41) is provided with an air exhaust port (7); the other end is provided with an air transfer chamber (8). The self-cleaning air preheater further comprises an ash removal apparatus (10). The ash removal apparatus (10) comprises a first drive plate (101), a second drive plate (102), ash removal rings (103), and a power mechanism (104). The first drive plate (101) and the second drive plate (102) are each provided with a plurality of through holes (105); the heat exchange tubes (4) are slotted into the through holes (105); and the ash removal rings (103) are movably sleeved on the heat exchange tubes (4). Providing the ash removal apparatus (10) allows for a reduction of residue accumulation on the heat exchange tubes (4), further increasing the heat exchange efficiency of the air preheater.
