The invention relates to an ironing device (20, comprising an ironing unit for ironing textiles (23, in which unironed textiles are introduced at an input side (21) and ironed textiles leave the ironing unit at an output side (22, and one or more heat recovery means (25b, 24b, 30, 32) for at least partially absorbing heat emitted by one or more elements (26b, 24b, 24a) of the ironing device (20) during the ironing process, in which one or more heat recovery means (25a) are adapted in order to at least partly emit the absorbed heat to the unironed textiles at the input side (21, said one or more heat recovery means comprise a heat exchange system (25b) on the output side(22), in which said heat exchange system (25b) is configured such that, during operation of the ironing device, it at least partly absorbs the heat which is emitted by the ironed textiles (23) and at least partly emits the absorbed heat back to the heat exchange system (25a) on the input side (21).The invention furthermore relates to a method for recovering heat from the ironed textiles (23) on the output side (22) of the ironing device (20) for preheating the unironed textiles introduced at an input side (21).

Abstract

A device for feeding, ironing, folding and stacking of linen, having a maximum depth of 2.500 mm, and when viewed in the depth direction thereof, being successively provided with a feeding unit for feeding a piece of linen to be ironed into the device, the feeding unit having detection and measuring means to measure the piece of linen, an ironing unit, having at least one ironing roll and, for each ironing roll, a heated chest for ironing the piece of linen, a folding unit for folding the ironed piece of linen, the folding unit being provided with a longitudinal folding portion located after the ironing mangle for longitudinally folding the ironed piece of linen, and a cross folding portion located below the ironing mangle for cross folding the ironed piece of linen, and a stacking unit located to the right or left of the device for stacking the folded linen.

Abstract

A feeding device for introducing a piece of linen to be ironed into an ironing unit by means of suction, the feeding device being provided with a suction shaft into which the piece of linen can be sucked and a top suction portion which is provided for sucking the piece of linen into the suction shaft, where the feeding device includes a blocking clamp which is provided to secure the item of linen in a clamping position, and which is arranged in the feeding device in such a way that there is located after the clamping of the item of linen a portion of this item of linen above this blocking clamp that can be sucked by the top suction portion into the suction shaft.
