Abstract

[Problem] To provide a multi-level cascade lift pump capable of pumping up water using a small amount of electric power or effort, even from a water source having a height difference, when water is to be pumped up from a water source such as a well, a river, or a pond, for example, during a power failure when the supply of electric power has been cut off. [Solution] A main pipe 0110 is formed by stacking tubular tank chambers 0114, the top and bottom of which are closed, in multiple levels, and a plurality of transfer side pipes 0120 are arranged along the main pipe 0110, wherein each transfer side pipe 0120 is connected to the lower-level tank chamber 0114 using a suction non-return valve 130A, and is connected to the upper-level tank chamber 0114 using a pushing-out non-return valve 130B, and by alternately decreasing and increasing the pressure inside the transfer side pipes 0120 by means of a pressure-reducing pump 140A and a pressure-increasing pump 140B, water is conveyed from the lower-level tank chamber 01140 to the upper-level tank chamber 0114 of the main pipe 0110 by way of the transfer side pipe 0120.
