Abstract

Described and represented is a swivel fitting of seating furniture for adjusting a foot part from a retracted non-use position to an extended use position, with a mounting section for mounting on a chassis of the seating furniture, with a foot part section for mounting the foot part, with a foot part fitting for adjusting the foot part, wherein the foot part section has a front foot part connection swivel region in the use position and a rear foot part connection swivel region in the non-use position and a rear foot part connection tilt region in the use position and a front foot part connection tilt region in the non-use position, and wherein the foot part connection swivel region and the foot part connection tilt region are held via an adjusting lever and a control lever of the foot part fitting and are adjustable relative to one another. In order to better take into account the requirements placed on seating furniture and at the same time to manufacture the swivel fitting quite cost-effectively and use it reliably, it is provided that, during the entire adjustment from the non-use position to the use position and back, the adjusting lever and the control lever are arranged extending adjacent to one another in a common longitudinal section, which extends at least over 20 cm in the longitudinal direction of the swivel fitting, in a direction at least substantially perpendicular to the adjusting lever and/or to the control lever, in that the longitudinal section in the use position is arranged in front of the foot part connection tilt region in the non-use position and in that in the longitudinal section, the longitudinal extension of the adjusting lever is inclined by less than 15° with respect to the longitudinal extension of the control lever.

Abstract

Described and shown is a pivotable joint (1) for the adjustment of a functional part of an item of furniture having an assembly lever (2) and a pivotable lever (5), wherein the assembly lever (2) and the pivotable lever (5) are connected to one another such that they can be pivoted against one another from an initial position into an end position about a pivotable joint axis (6) in an adjustment direction (E), wherein the pivotable lever (5) is locked in a plurality of locking positions provided between the initial position and the end position by means of a blocking, positive-locking meshing of a ratchet (19) against a pivoting in the reset direction (R) that is opposite to the adjustment direction (E), wherein the ratchet (19) comprises a locking cam (16) and a rotatable sprocket (12) that has external teeth (18)._In order to be able to use pivotable joints in a more flexible and cost- efficient manner, there is a provision for the pivotable joint (1) to have at least one control disc (7) that is rotatable and detachable at least in sections together with the sprocket (12) relative to the locking cam (16), which control disc has a release stop (21) and a locking stop (22).

Abstract

The invention relates to seating furniture, in particular an armchair or sofa, with at least one backrest, at least one headrest, and at least one headrest adjustment. The headrest is held adjustable relative to the backrest by means of the headrest adjustment. The headrest adjustment has two height-adjustable positioning struts bearing the headrest and each is guided via a separate guide for adjusting the at least one headrest from the lower position into the upper position and back so that the headrests or the headrest adjustments are less prone to jamming or wedging, without disproportionate manufacturing costs. The guides each have a gear rack element and a gear wheel element meshing with the gear rack element when adjusting the headrest from the lower position to the upper position and back. The gear wheel elements are connected to one another in a torsion-resistant manner via a synchronous strut.
