Abstract

The invention relates to a device (1) for making sausages, comprising a sausage casing (B) containing a food product (P) and sealed at the two ends thereof. Said device (1) comprises a means (2) for storing a sausage casing (B) while waiting for it to be filled with the food product (P), said storage means (2) extending along an axis (X), as well as a means (3) for conveying the food product (P) with a view to filling the sausage casing (B) with said food product (P), and at least one system (6) for constricting a portion of the sausage casing (B) filled with food product (P). Said device (1) is characterised in that the at least one constriction system (6) is configured to constrict the sausage casing (B) about an axis (X') which is at least parallel to the axis (X) along which the means (2) for storing the sausage casing (B) extends, and also passes through the end space (21).
