Abstract
The method according to the invention and a device suitable for it make it possible for hollow end plates (10) to be centred for further processing. For this purpose, the hollow end plate (10) is placed onto at least three ball rollers (20) and set in rotation by at least one friction wheel (30). After the friction wheel (30) has been moved away, the hollow end plate (10) can rotate freely and automatically aligns itself in the central axis of the hollow end plate as a result of centrifugal force. Once the hollow end plate (10) has aligned itself and the rotation has come to a standstill due to mass inertia, the hollow end plate (10) is fixed in the device, and positioned for further processing, by clamping elements.
