Abstract

A combined radar arch and bimini top assembly includes a radar arch pivotable between a stowed position and a radar position, and a bimini arm cooperable with the radar arch. The bimini arm is pivotable with the radar arch between the stowed position and the radar position and to an extended position. A canopy is connected between the bimini arm and the radar arch, and a drive system engages the bimini arm to drive the bimini arm among the stowed, radar and extended positions. The radar arch is biased by a bias force toward the radar position, and the bimini arm displaces the radar arch from the radar position to the stowed position against the bias force. The radar arch and the bimini arm are thus individually actuated while also being used in tandem to deploy the canopy, the radar arch, and the bimini arm.

Abstract

A stabilizing jack includes a base securable to a vehicle frame with a drive screw rotatably mounted to the base and a screw follower threadingly secured to the drive screw. A length adjustable lift leg is pivotally connected at an upper end to the screw follower. A stabilizing member is pivotally connected at a first end to the base inward from the screw follower. The lift leg is pivotally connected at an outer end to the stabilizing member. Downward extension of the lift leg through outward advancement of the screw follower on the screw and downward pivoting of the lift leg by the stabilizing member advances the foot into the ground to raise the vehicle frame relative to the suspension. The extended lift leg and stabilizing member form a triangle with the base providing resistance to lateral movement of the vehicle frame relative to the wheels and suspension.

Abstract

A battery box attachable to a trailer frame includes a main compartment having a front, a back, and two sides, a base below the main compartment, and a sub-compartment disposed in the main compartment. The base and the main compartment define outer shoulders such that the two sides of the main compartment extend wider than a width of the base. A door is pivotally attached to the main compartment and is configured to close the sub-compartment. The door defines the one of the two sides. A battery box or junction box may include a compartment with a lid for enclosing wire connections and a grounding bar positioned in the compartment. The grounding bar serves as a battery ground, and the grounding bar secures the battery box or junction box through a compartment wall to the trailer frame. The overall assembly helps to simplify wiring between the batteries and the trailer.

Abstract

An awning keder includes an awning bead extending along a length of the keder that is sized for insertion into a keder rail, and a connecting panel coupled with the awning bead and extending along the length of the keder. The awning bead and the connecting panel are integrated into a one-piece keder. The one-piece component does not require additional assembly or alteration before welding onto a vinyl canopy, thereby cutting down on production time. The keder is also more durable and less susceptible to expansion or shrinkage resulting from environmental changes.

Abstract

A motor stop mechanism for a motor including an output shaft includes a motor mounting surface to which the motor is attachable and a threaded drive shaft fixed to and rotatable with the motor output shaft. A trunnion threaded on the threaded drive shaft is displaceable between a retracted position and an extended position by forward and reverse rotation of the threaded drive shaft. A housing surrounds the threaded drive shaft and the trunnion, and a stop limit fixed to the housing defines the extended position of the trunnion. In use, when the trunnion reaches the stop limit, the motor is stopped.

Abstract

A slide-out room system includes a drive mechanism that may be fixed to a vehicle wall adjacent the slide-out room. A drive unit includes a drive screw that is rotatable with rotation of an output shaft. A drive block that engages the drive screw may be fixed to a side wall of the slide-out room. Rotation of the drive screw effects displacement of the drive block to extend and retract the room, depending on a rotation direction of the motor.

Abstract

A distributed safety lockout system for a vehicle, such as a recreational vehicle (RV), that includes a plurality of networked devices communicatively coupled via a communications network, and that is configured to implement a method for controlling an electromechanical operation of an electromechanical device based on a safety lockout condition determined through use of a consensus protocol in which a safety lockout status is agreed upon by the networked devices. The safety lockout status may be escalated by a safety lockout condition detection device that detects a safety lockout condition, such as movement of the RV. Abstract

A valance kit and mounting assembly secure a valance adjacent a window frame. A mounting block is securable in a clamp ring cavity of the window frame and includes a snap connector on the frame side thereof and a valance groove in each of the top and bottom sides thereof. The valance grooves extend in a width direction across the mounting block and have a depth dimension parallel with a plane of the window opening. A valance assembly includes a plurality of shrouds that together define the valance. Each of the shrouds is provided with a pair of snap ridges disposed facing each other and spaced substantially corresponding to a space between the top and bottom sides of the mounting block. The snap ridges are sized and positioned to engage the valance grooves in a snap fit. The universal mounting block is suitable for mounting various types of window treatments.

Abstract

A motor stop mechanism serves as a stop limit for a motor including an output shaft. The motor stop mechanism includes a motor mounting surface to which the motor is attachable, where the motor output shaft is positionable through the motor mounting surface. A coupler is fixable to and rotatable with the output shaft, and a threaded drive shaft is fixed to and rotatable with the coupler. A trunnion threaded on the threaded drive shaft is displaceable on the threaded drive shaft with rotation of the threaded drive shaft. The trunnion is displaceable between a retracted position and an extended position by forward and reverse rotation of the threaded drive shaft. A stop limit defines the extended position of the trunnion. In use, when the trunnion reaches the stop limit, the motor is stopped.

Abstract

A lift assist device for a slide-out room includes a base and a floor support having a fixed portion, a deflecting portion, and a biasing member disposed between the base and the deflecting portion. When the slide out room is in an extended position, the weight of the room deflects the deflecting portion, thereby compressing the biasing member. As the slide-out room is being retracted from the extended position, the biasing member decompresses, thereby facilitating lifting of the slide-out room.

A ramp frame guides a vehicle slide-out room to enable the slide-out room floor to be flush with the vehicle floor when the slide-out room is in its extended position. The ramp frame includes a landing portion including a top wall that is configured to receive the slide-out room in the extended position, and a lifting portion including an inclined section extending from the top wall of the landing portion and a horizontal section extending from a distal end of the inclined section. The horizontal section extends outside of a boundary defined by the top wall of the landing portion.

Abstract

A detachable transportation seat assembly for facilitated and secure attachment to the rear row of a mass transportation vehicle, which is releasable and replaceable as desired to enable access to vehicle componentry under the rear seat, or behind the rear wall. A pivot bar on the front of a single or a collection of rear row vehicle seats projects to cooperate with a pivot hook retention bracket, to facilitate removal of the seat or seats, or, alternatively, to facilitate the restoration of the seats for use by passengers.

Abstract

A ramp door and door frame include a rail kit that deploys automatically when the door is opened and collapses automatically when the door is closed. The door is supported by a cable mechanism when the door is opened. The cable mechanism causes an end rail to pivot up and away from the door when the door is opened and down and toward the door when the door is closed. The end rail cooperates with a door frame to deploy flexible side barriers when the door is opened and to collapse the side barriers when the door is closed.

Abstract

An operating mechanism for a ramp door includes a door actuation system and a limit stop system. The actuation system is connected between the door and a frame or the vehicular structure directly and is operable to pivot the door between closed, deck, and ramp positions. The limit stop system selectively limits the pivoting of the door to a range between the closed and deck portion or to a range between the closed and ramp positions.
