Abstract

A hollow cylindrical bearing portion (20) is provided projecting into the interior of a casing (10) of a laundry drying implement (1), and a drum (40) around which a laundry drying rope (41) is wound is supported by the bearing portion (20). A rotary damper (30) is accommodated inside the bearing portion (20), and a damping shaft (33) thereof rotates integrally with the drum (40), thereby imparting rotational resistance to the drum (40). Since the configuration is such that the rotary damper (30) is incorporated into the bearing portion (20), the depth dimension of the laundry drying implement (1) can be reduced compared with a configuration in which the rotary damper and the drum are arranged in a row in the axial direction of the bearing portion (20).
