Abstract
The invention relates to a timing device for use with a cable, and also to a cable including said timing device. The device is formed so as to be movable between a first position in which electricity is prevented from flowing therethrough and a second position in which electricity can flow therethrough. When in the second position, the cable with which the device is provided, and apparatus connected to the cable is rendered electrically operable. The device is provided to allow electrical connection for a predetermined time period, such that at the end of the said time period, the device has moved back to the first position. The provision of the device as part of the cable allows the same to be positioned in a room for easier user access and hence user operation.

Abstract
An electrical wall socket is provided including a housing having one or more electrical socket connection means defined thereon to allow engagement with at least one electrical plug therewith in use. The wall socket is provided with timing means for timing or determining one or more pre-determined time periods. The timing means are arranged such that when actuated, the timing means allow electrical current to flow through said electrical socket from an electrical supply and/or from said electrical socket connection means to an electrical plug engaged therewith in use for said one or more pre-determined time periods.

Abstract
An electrical adaptor (100) is provided including first electrical connection means (116) for allowing electrical connection of the adaptor with an electrical socket (148) and/or electrical supply in use, at least second electrical connection means for allowing electrical connection of an electrical plug or further electrical connection with the adaptor, and timing means for electrical current to be supplied through said adaptor in use for one or more pre-determined time periods. The timing means includes at least first (102) and second (136) parts which are capable of undergoing relative movement in use between a first position, wherein electrical current can flow through said adaptor between the first and at least second electrical connection means, and a second position, wherein electrical current is prevented from flowing through the adaptor between the first and at least second electrical connection means.

Abstract
Dispensing apparatus (16) is provided including a housing (18) having at least first and second fluid outlet means (30,32) to allow fluid to flow out of said dispensing apparatus. Channel means (23) are provided in the housing (18) and have at least one aperture defined therein to allow fluid to flow from said channel means (23) through either of said at least first and second fluid outlet means (30, 32). The apparatus further includes fluid flow control means (104) for allowing selective control of the fluid flow from said channel means through said at least first or second fluid outlet means (30, 32). The fluid flow control means (104) includes a closure element (104) having passage means defined therein. The closure element is arranged to move relative to said channel means and/or said first and second fluid outlet means between a first position, wherein the passage means allows fluid communication between the at least one aperture of the channel means and the first fluid outlet means (32) to allow fluid flow therethrough, and a second position, wherein the passage means allows fluid communication between the at least one aperture of the channel means and the second fluid outlet means (32) to allow fluid flow therethrough.

Abstract
Electrical connection apparatus is provided including engagement means to allow attachment of the apparatus to an electrical appliance or electrical socket in use and at least first and second electrical connection means which can communicate with each other in use to allow the flow of electrical charge therebetween. The apparatus further includes movement means arranged to allow relative movement of the at least first and/or second electrical connection means between a first position, wherein electrical charge can flow therebetween, and a second position, wherein the flow of electrical charge is prevented. The relative movement takes place over a pre-determined time period following actuation or on actuation of said movement means to provide a timing mechanism for the apparatus.
