Abstract
A frame for a lightweight costume with air permeability, the costume, and a method for manufacturing them. The frame body for the costume includes a main body made of synthetic resin and a plurality of through holes penetrating the main body. The method includes a mold installation step of installing a mold in a predetermined three-dimensional shape on an elevating table, a resin member mounting step of mounting a resin member on a pedestal, a cover mounting step of mounting a cover covering the surface of the resin member on the pedestal, a heating step of heating the resin member and the cover, a vacuum molding step of bringing the mold into contact with the back surface of the resin member and then depressurizing the inside of the chamber, and a mold release step of releasing the frame body and the cover from the mold.

Abstract
The present invention provides: a frame body for a character costume in which weight reduction is achieved, which is comfortable to move in, and which has good air permeability; the character costume; and a production method therefor. A frame body 1 for a character costume comprises a main body 10 made from a synthetic resin and a plurality of through-holes 20 passing through the main body 10. The frame body 1 is obtained by heating and deforming, using a vacuum molding device 100, a sheet-shaped resin member 2 having the through-holes 20 formed therein in advance. The production method for the frame body 1 involves: a mold placing step for placing, on a lifting table 102, a mold 30 having a predetermined three-dimensional shape; a resin member mounting step for mounting a resin member 2 on a base 104; a cover mounting step for mounting, on the pedestal 104, a cover 40 for covering the surface of the resin member 2; a heating step for heating the resin member 2 and the cover 40; a vacuum molding step for reducing pressure within a chamber 101 by causing the mold 30 to abut on the back surface of the resin member 2; and a mold release step for separating the frame body 1 and the cover 40 from the mold 30. The present invention can provide a frame body 1 for a character costume having reduced weight, good air permeability, and good productivity.
