Abstract

A length adjustment device for a dropper of an overhead catenary system. The disclosed length adjustment device includes a base plate, a first fixed clamp, and a moveable clamp. The first fixed clamp and the second fixed clamp are attached at two opposite ends of the base plate. The moveable clamp is disposed between the first fixed clamp and the second fixed clamp. The first fixed clamp, the second fixed clamp, and the moveable clamp are configured to receive and hold the dropper of the overhead catenary system. When the moveable clamp moves along a first axis and in a first direction, the effective length of the dropper increases. When the moveable clamp moves along the first axis and in a second direction, the effective length of the dropper decreases.
