Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a timepiece pivot pin (1) comprising at least one pivot (2) at at least one of the ends thereof, at least said pivot (2) being made entirely of metallic glass, said method comprising: a) a step of manufacturing a blank of the timepiece pivot pin (1) comprising, at at least one end, at least one portion made of metallic glass and intended to constitute a pivot; and b) a last step consisting of precision machining, without force, at least the portion made of metallic glass in order to obtain at least one pivot (2) made entirely of finished metallic glass. The present invention also relates to a timepiece pivot pin (1) comprising at least one pivot (2) at at least one of the ends thereof, at least said pivot (2) being made entirely of metallic glass, at least the pivot (2) having a roughness Ra of less than or equal to 50 nm ± 20%, preferably less than or equal to 25 nm, preferably less than or equal to 20 nm, preferably less than or equal to 15 nm, and preferably less than or equal to 12 nm, more preferably less than or equal to 10 nm, and more preferably between 5 nm and 9 nm, inclusive.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pivot staff (1) designed to be able to be used as a timepiece pivot staff, the finished pivot staff (1) comprising functional portions having a surface of revolution with a roughness Ra less than or equal to 500 nm, preferably less than or equal to 100 nm and more preferably less than or equal to 50 nm, the functional portions comprising at least one pivot (2) at at least one end of the pivot staff (1). The method comprises: a) a step of producing a staff blank (16) by a manufacturing method that does not involve force-free precision machining, the staff blank (16) corresponding to the functional configuration of the finished pivot staff (1) except for the parts intended to constitute the functional portions; and b) a final step consisting in force-free precision machining of at least the parts intended to constitute the functional portions in order to obtain the finished pivot staff (1).

Abstract

The present invention relates to a timepiece component (1) comprising at least one part (2) consisting of silicon carbide, the outer surface of the part (2) being covered with at least one graphene layer (4).
