Abstract

The invention relates to a light-up underlay (1) for articles, in particular vessels, having a flat, substantially planar main body (2) with a top side (2.1) having at least one light-permeable region (2a) and with an opposite underside (2.2); and a lighting unit (3), which comprises at least one electronic component (5) with at least one LED lamp (6) and an electrical energy storage device (7). The main body (2) has at least one recess (4) which is open on the underside (2.2) and accommodates the lighting unit (3). The lighting unit (3) is accommodated exchangeably in the recess such that, under the effect of a pressure acting on the top side (2.1) of the main body (2), an electrical contact can be produced in the lighting unit (3), and the LED lamp (6) generates light which passes outwards via the light-permeable region (2a). The lighting unit (3) is secured in position and fixed pressure-sensitively by means of a reusable sheet- or foil-like securing element (8), which is fastened detachably to the underside (2.2) of the main body (2).
