Abstract

An expansion clamping device includes a base body and an expansion socket. The expansion socket is inserted into the base body to form a pressure chamber. The pressure chamber can be applied with a hydraulic medium while elastically deforming the expansion socket, in order to achieve a clamping effect in a receiving space which is open in the axial direction of the base body towards a face side and is surrounded by the expansion socket in the circumferential direction. The expansion socket has an elastically deformable clamping section and a collar projecting outwardly in the radial direction on the face side. The expansion socket bears with a bearing surface of the collar in the axial direction against a contact surface of a contact shoulder of the base body and, at least in the region of the bearing surface, is firmly connected, in particular by a material bond, to the base body. The clamping section transitions into the collar in a transition region, a recess being formed in the expansion socket in the transition region in such a way that the transition region overlaps over the contact shoulder of the base body in regions, the bearing surface of the expansion socket bearing against the contact surface in a radially outer contact region thereof, and the contact surface having a radially inner free region adjacent to the contact region, in which free region the expansion socket does not bear against the contact surface.

Abstract

A milling head for a ball track milling cutter includes an imaginary center axis, a first, working-side end and a second, clamping-side end opposite the first end when viewed along the central axis, and comprising at least one geometrically defined cutting edge, extending along a cutting edge profile of the cutting edge from a first cutting edge end facing the first end of the milling head in the direction of the second end of the milling head up to a second cutting edge end facing the second end of the milling head, wherein at least one cutting edge is formed as an intersecting line between the rake face associated with at least one cutting edge and a first flank face associated with at least one cutting edge, wherein at least one cutting edge is assigned a negative rake angle, a first clearance angle and a wedge angle. It is provided that a value of the negative rake angle in the region of the first cutting edge end has a different value than in the region of the second cutting edge end, that the first clearance angle in the region of the first cutting edge end has a different value than in the region of the second cutting edge end, and that the wedge angle along the cutting edge profile is constant.

Abstract

A metal drilling tool comprising includes a middle axis, a front side and an opposite end, with at least two cutting edges arranged in a region of the front side, a first free surface being associated with each cutting edge. The at least two cutting edges lie on an imaginary first conical surface arranged concentrically in relation to the middle axis, with a first conical angle that opens up towards the opposite end and reaches a maximum of 180°. A centering section includes at least three edges, at least three side surfaces and an imaginary base surface. At least two of the edges lie on an imaginary second conical surface which is arranged concentrically in relation to the middle axis and has a second conical angle that opens up towards the opposite end. The second conical angle is smaller than the first conical angle, such that the imaginary second conical surface, seen from the opposite end, projects opposite the front surface.

Abstract

A drilling tool for producing drill holes includes a tip and a shaft arranged opposite the tip in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the drilling tool. The drilling tool has at least one geometrically defined cutting edge in the tip area, and has an expanded diameter trailing the tip in a longitudinal direction from the tip. The drilling tool has a first area with a first diameter that precedes the expanded diameter, and a second area with a second diameter, larger than the first diameter, that trails the expanded diameter. The drilling tool is distinguished in that the expanded diameter and/or the second area is/are embodied such that chips are produced in the area of the expanded diameter and/or in the second area when a workpiece is machined, chips consistent with those produced when a workpiece is machined with a geometrically undefined cutting edge.

The invention relates to a combination tool (1) for producing a surface structure with undercuts in a surface of a workpiece, which in particular is a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine, wherein the combination tool (1) comprises at least two guide bars (9), a material-removing cutting tool (5) and a shaping tool (6), the cutting tool (5) has at least one structuring tooth for forming a groove-like depression in the surface, and the cutting tool (5) and the shaping tool (6) are arranged so as to project beyond the guide bars (9). The invention further relates to a method for producing a surface structure with undercuts in a surface of a workpiece, which is in particular a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine, in which, in a first method step, uniform groove-like depressions are introduced into the surface and, with a time offset in relation thereto, in a second method step, the lands arranged between the depressions are deformed plastically in such a way that undercuts are formed in the depression. In order to permit the plastic deformation of the land structure in order to form the undercuts with little expenditure of force, according to the invention a combination tool (1) in which the shaping tool (6) is a sphere or section of a sphere, and a method in which, in the second method step, a sphere is moved along at least one land as a shaping tool (6) for the plastic deformation of said land are provided.

Abstract

The invention relates to a drilling tool for producing drill holes, in particular in composite materials, having a tip (3) and a shaft (5) disposed opposite the tip (3) as seen in the direction of a longitudinal axis (7) of the drilling tool, wherein the drilling tool (1) comprises at least one geometrically defined cutting edge in the area of the tip (3), and having an expanded diameter (23) trailing the tip (3) as seen in the longitudinal direction from the tip (3), wherein the drilling tool (1) comprises a first area (25) preceding the expanded diameter (23) and having a first diameter, and a second area (27) trailing the expanded diameter (23) having a second diameter, the second diameter being greater than the first diameter. The drilling tool (1) is characterized in that the expanded diameter (23) and/or the second area (27) are designed such that chip formation takes place in the area of the expanded diameter (23) and/or in the second area (27) when machining a workpiece, said chip formation corresponding to that of machining a workpiece with a geometrically undefined cutting edge.

Abstract

A drill for producing a drilled hole in work pieces has at least one main cutting edge on an end face. At least one secondary cutting edge is provided in the region of a circumferential surface of the drill. At least one circularly ground land circumferentially adjoins the at least one secondary cutting edge. The circularly ground lands extend over a first longitudinal section in the front area of the secondary cutting edge. In a following second longitudinal section, a secondary flank circumferentially adjoins the secondary cutting edge.
