Abstract

In a production line where various operations have to be performed on a unit that is conveyed through or assembled in the line, a control system for a set of actuators is provided that operates in discrete steps to carry out movement in a machine and is required to synchronize at points in speed and position. A controller is provided for each actuator, and a coordinator configured to determine or receive the position of the actuators and to receive or generate data concerning a waypoint, being positions and corresponding speeds for the actuators. The controllers are configured to change the speed of the actuators, and the coordinator starts the movement of at least one actuator on the basis of a point reached by another actuator, so as to achieve the desired synchronization.

Abstract

A labelling apparatus for labelling a tray while the tray is conveyed by a conveyor means. A label feeder device is configured to place a label onto a top surface of the tray. A first tucker device is arranged sidewise to the conveyor means and includes an applicator block. A first moving mechanism is configured to move the applicator block in a back and forth direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the tray. The applicator block is movable from an initial position to a labelling position where the applicator block presses the portion of the label exceeding a side surface of the tray such that the applicator block follows the shape of the side surface of the tray via a rotational movement of the applicator block around the rotation axis.

Abstract

This invention relates to a labelling apparatus (200) for labelling a tray (210) while the tray is conveyed by a conveyor means (206). A label feeder device (201) is provided configured to place a label onto a top surface (306) of the tray (301) such that the label extends across the tray with a portion of the label (305) exceeding at least one side surface (302) of the tray. Providing a first tucker device (202) arranged sidewise to the conveyor means (206), comprising at least one applicator block (203) rotatable mounted to an axis (402) extending parallel to the conveying direction (207) and the at least one side surface (302) of the tray (2210), and a first moving mechanism (401) configured to move the at least one applicator block (203) in a back and forth direction perpendicular to the conveying direction (207) of the tray, wherein during labelling the first moving mechanism, in response to a control signal, moves the at least one applicator block from an initial position to a labelling position where the at least one applicator block presses the portion of the label exceeding the at least one side surface of the tray towards the at least one side surface of the tray such that the at least one applicator block follows the shape of the at least one side surface of the tray via a rotational movement of the least one applicator block around the rotation axis.

Abstract

This invention relates to a gripper device (100) adapted to pick up items, such as sausages, from a first position where the items are arranged in a side by side arrangement, to a second position where the items are released. A plurality of side by side arranged and spaced apart item holders (101) are provided, each of the item holders having a shape adapted to the shape of the items (201). Each of the item holders comprise a means for picking up the side by side arranged items, the arrangement of the spaced apart item holders being such that the pitch distance between adjacent item holders, prior to picking up the items, is substantially the same as the pitch distance between adjacent items at the first position. A pitch distance adjustment mechanism (102) is provided to, subsequent to picking up the items from the first position, adjust the pitch distance between adjacent spaced apart item holders so as to arrange the received items into at least one group of items, before the at least one group is released at the second position.

Abstract

A labelling device includes a linearly displaceable piston operably connectable to a moving mechanism for moving the piston from a resting position to a labelling position. A label carrying mechanism is arranged at the distal end of the piston for carrying an adhesive label and affixing the adhesive label to an object via physical contact at the labelling position of the piston. A force-switching-state system is provided to maintain the piston in relation to the moving mechanism in an attracting force state and the piston moves with the moving mechanism. The physical contact creates an opposite repelling force from the object onto the label carrying mechanism causing separation of the displaceable piston from the moving mechanism. This separation causes a change of the force state of the displaceable piston from an attracting to a repelling force state, causing the linearly displaceable piston to move back to the resting position.
