Abstract

The module carrier according to the invention for photovoltaic modules comprises rod-like connecting profiles (2; 4) and base plates (3) to which supports (5; 6) for carrying the photovoltaic modules (10) are attached and which can be connected to one another by means of the rod-like connecting profiles (4). The base plates (3) each have a longitudinal connector receptacle (3.1) into which one of the connecting profiles (4) can be inserted in a first insertion direction (Ry) which is predefined by the longitudinal connector receptacle. The longitudinal connector receptacle (3.1) comprises a protrusion (3.2) which is arranged transversely to the first insertion direction (Ry). A portion (4.1) of the connecting profile (4) which is inserted in the longitudinal connector receptacle (3.1) projects into the protrusion (3.2) due to plastic deformation and forms a form-fit connection with this protrusion.
